The first couple years of his career, actually.

His only fight over the MW limit since '05 is the Miranda rematch. And that nets him more overall points, and puts him higher in the 168lb rankings than Kessler? :yikes

Technically, yes, I know; should have included a disclaimer. It just puts such a damper on the whole notion of lineal. At least it is finally freed up, not that anyone will be claiming it any time soon.

Baisaclly yes, it is a tough fight for a guy who fights 25 lbs south.

Kind of puts Adamek's wins at 200 into perspective, he moved up and beat the Ring mag #1 at Cruiser, where Erdei is fighting the #8.

This is probably the best option Erdei had, the man looks cursed. Universum prob is lowballing him to accept a bad deal on a fight against Brahmer.

I thought Fragomeni had a mandatory against Hide or Wlodarczik to fullfill next.

Adamek didn't just move up and beat the Ring Mag #1 at Cruiser, he faught 2 journymen prior to taking his first real challenge vs Oniel Bell..

Erdei is moving up and hes fighting Giacobbe Fragomeni who is the WBC champion right now at CW, so right away hes fighting for a title. Its probably more prestige or w/e cause Erdei is moving up as a champion while Adamek wasnt a champion when he moved up.

I hope Fraggomeni out hussles him.

Well, hopefully Erdie will move up to Cruiser and never again show his face @ 175 lbs. Then, if the Dawson/Johnson winner fights the Hopkins/Jones winner, I think this would suffice to annoint a new champion @ 175lbs.

Can you tell me more about this? Does ZDF already have an alternative station? I guess it would probably become D:SF or RTL then..

Well, this is all I know, and haven't heard anything lately, maybe I missed something. Tom was pretty accurate with his infos.

RTL makes deals on a fight-by-fight basis unlike ZDF, obviously meaning those fighters/fights getting broadcasted which suits RTL. DSF and Eurosport have a limited budget compared to ZDF/ARD/RTL, it's not a good solution. So whatever the future holds, those fighters who don't attract the German market will have problems getting on major TV. And there are some very good fighters at the Universum/Spotlight stable like Golovkin who deserves more fame.

Brahmer is obviously a marketable fighter, so I guess Universum would rather get their champ, Erdei another title opportunity (they tried to get a Campillo and Cloud unification, both of them turning it down, and now moving him up a ridiculous 25 pounds), instead of moving Brahmer to another organization, this tells you something how things work at that stable. Complete mess if you ask me.

Well, this fight has been announced on fightnews, so it's no hoax.
Fragomeni is a busy fighter with alot of heart, but punches no harder than
your average lightheavyweight. Erdei is nothing special either, so this fight
might be a toss-up. Anyway, who cares. As one poster said. 2 paper champs fighting each other, strange. I agree.

At least erdei is fighting somebody with a pulse.

Would be awesome to see Diablo on the under card of that. This is bull****, lol...Wlodarczyk would knock Erdei out and Fragomeni would get out jabbed and tortured this time. This sucks.

    This sucks balls.

Team Fragomeni promised a rematch to Wlodarczyk by Winter, for his voluntary defense, and nothing, he takes on Erdei now. ; /

I hate this fight... this sucks cause you got the worst LH Champ in boxing right now vs. a very beatable CW champ Fragomeni.

Quite a nice blend of styles. It would be interesting to see how Erdei fairs at this weight as I'm not sure his power will carry, he's not a great puncher as it is. Fragomeni is not great, but he's teak tough and strong which is a huge test for a newcomer to this weight.

I think Fragomeni will outpoint Erdei, or should outpoint him taking the German Judges aside.

Erdei cant punch, he hits softer than Dawson. Erdeis punches will not trouble Fragomeni, nor imo any top 20 CW right now. Plus a first fight in a new weight vs a very experienced CW? Tomasz Adamek had to fight 2 journeymen before he finally felt good at CW and to get used to the styles etc... and Zsolt Erdei is not as good as Tomasz Adamek, after that Adamek then fought a live opponent in Oniel Bell... But Erdei wants to move up right away and fight Fragomeni?

Thats like getting Dawson to fight G. Jones.

Fragomeni is no bum but he has poor limitations but so does Erdei...

Id pick Fragomeni on experience and size alone over Erdei.

I actually give this fight no fault for Fragomeni at not fighting Wlodarczyk again...The guy is looking for a pay day before he is going to hit the hay...and im sure Erdeis people have some good ca$h to offer the Italian.

These guys are old and are retireees in the making in at least another year or 2 so they are trying to milk out whatever they can get at this point. Plus living in these hard times? Who can blame them rly..

All props to all, I will pick Fraogomeni by points. Wonder what the odds are going to favor / be like. Must be interesting cause these guys are almost evenly skilled but no doubt Fragomeni is / should be a favorite.
