I think Erdei will be just about favourite. I just get a feeling for how the bookmakers look at these things. Erdei has a nice shiney record and plus if the fight is on home turf.
The odds should be about even... Id say like 1,80 for Erdei and like 2,00 for Fragomeni or somthing simular Interesting fight to bet on
Ring has Erdei at 4th, Cloud 7th, Pascal 8th. F*ghtnews has Erdei at 4th, Cloud 6th, Pascal 7th, Campillo 8th. S*condsout has Erdei at 3rd, Pascal 5th, Campillo 9th. Who is the worst LH Champ then, huh?
Jumping 25 pounds is just insane and ridiculous. I mean are they serious!? Because of this Fragomeni should be a clear favourite imo.
But 25lbs is only the maximum he would be able to bulk up, it's not like he HAS to weigh that much more is it? And Fragomeni is hardly a big cruiserweight either, he makes the weight pretty comfortably (usually around 190-195lbs) and from what I remember from watching the Haye fight he's not exactly the tallest of guys either. He should probably start as favourite simply because Erdei is moving up but I don't think any size difference will be that much of a factor...
Sometimes, it pays out to inform first, instead of repeating bull**** other people spout on the internet. This is the weak punching bum Erdei who has fought the whole fight with broken ribs, barely able to breath: [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=efBVBkh3Gvc[/ame] Here is the bum Erdei "getting beat by Garay": [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YQ02mn7jSuc[/ame] Erdei is landing his punches, Garay hits the occasional bodypunch, and lots of gloves, forearms, air, and hipshots. With Kohls trademark bench practice, Erdeis best physical days are behind him, without the big fights he was demanding since he became champion years ago. But no, Kohl doled out cash only for Sturm at times, and cashed out on all his fighters without giving much back. They all had to fight the bum of the month club because Kohl wouldn't pay enough to get the bigger names.
I've posted as much since I don't view the division as being any good right now, either. I still think Erdei's at least on the same level as the other beltholders and no more than a slight underdog to any of them at worst, and could beat the other 3 at best. Lost in his joke of a title reign is that he's actually a pretty good fighter and isn't a walkover; at least not for the current batch of light heavyweight "champs". Dawson would be the clear favorite against Erdei, but Chad's beltless ever since Cloud's team basically screwed him into dropping his title.
Cloud definitely ****ed himself. He should be in the mix but is on the outside looking in. I guess the winner of Dawson/Johnson will fight the winner of Pascal/Diaconu? And the winner of that fight will take on the winner of Hopkins/Jones? Hard to imagine a different scenario, unless Jones loses to Green (possible) and Hopkins moves into position vs. Dawson/Johnson in the spring.
If he was being set up to lose, they'd have him fight a Universum fighter, like Firat Arslan or Alexander Alexeev.
