    seriously:
    - unbeaten
    - long time titleholder at LHW
    - long time 'linear' champion at LHW
    - now title at CW .... so two division champion

Calzaghe did it, so Erdei deserves it as well :)

i was very surprised with erdei, i had my bias, that he is a boring fighter who don't fight the best, but now i hate universum^^ because it's all their fault. erdei was fast, great technician, unbelieveble heart, great chin, and good power. dawson erdei has to be made!!!

Because much like Joe all his fought are tin cans. One victory doesnt make the man. Erdei's been sitting on that title since he won it all them years back vs Gonzalez.

i give you that, but i think it's not because of erdei don't wanting the fight, it's more cause of universum, who are ****. erdei should go to sauerland and he would get good fights

Its not only his fault, say why Dawson was not called him out instead
he fought rubber rematches with Tarver and Johnson?
Why Hopkins was more interested in fighting Winky and Jones Trinidad?
This only shows the top of the LHW division is not interested in fighting
the best out there they just wanna cash out as much as they can with
    the minimum of effort.

Big names will fight other big names. On the global scene Erdei is a nobody. People only started to take note when he handed Gonzalez his ass. Erdei then went onto to familiar WBO territory and made nice easy money beating up cans in Europe. Rightly no one paid any attention.

    In hindsight, rightfully so?

Nonetheless, my answer to the thread is no.

Not to mention that he gave up 20 pounds in his fight with Fragomein and stood toe to toe with him ...

Yeah, such a shame that Univerusm hid Erdei away all the time. He was the best lhw for years but not allowed to show it. :(

I'd like to see him beat a top fighter first. no doubt he has some talent, but I am not convinced his talent is that great.

Guys its just Fragomeni. The guy is a slugger with no power. An extremely limited pressure fighter who cant crack an egg and can be easily outboxed by most guys at 200lbs. I wouldnt make anything of this victory at all. Its abundantly clear Erdei isnt either as he came in at a whopping 178lbs. That surely is a sound intention that he means to stay at 200lbs right??!?!?!

No, most people thought this even during Calzaghe´s reign. His resume is puss poor. The only thing he has going for him are his title defences and him unfiy the belts. Both something Ottke did already before him. Funny, I think

Erdei himself said, he only fights this one atime at CW. But fighting a guy weighing him around 20 pounds and beating him is some p4p credential. He shouldn´t be top10 but a honorable mention isn´t out of the question.

Boy the standards are really slipping when a guy like Erdei gets so much props for beating a guy 20lbs heavier than him :patsch

By that reasoning i take it Daviid Haye should be number 1 right?
