His last 2-3 years were totally meaningless...as much as to say, Maske in comparison to Erdei was an entertainer...
Well, thanks for the answer. And thanks for spoiling it. My fault though, I should have made it clear that I didn't want to know the result of it. Not a big deal anyways, it's not a big fight. I agree with Decebal and Brooklyn. The Hopkins of the Calzaghe fight would dominate Erdei. Erdei would let Hopkins control him from the first round and fall into fighting his fight. Hopkins' reflexes and stamina at 43 are more than good enough to handle Erdei's offense without any trouble.
He won't step up. Even someone like Henry would have a good chance against him. His style is just not suited to anyone better than him. His best bet is to just fight for money. The crowd might not like it, but they've swallowed it so far and he's no spring chicken...another couple of fights and he retires. Say he beat someone like Diaconu for the WBO/WBC title...wouldn't mean anything. Diaconu's not better than B level. Even that wouldn't be that easy for him. I have seen very little of him, though. Maybe tonight's performance isn't representative. He was saying he was only 80% of his best tonight...still...his opponent was very poor. 80% should have been plenty.
For anyone here that knows about German boxing: Universum (ZDF) hasn't shown us a decent match-up since September 2005...
I just seen the fight and it was horrible. I haven't seen anything from Erdie that would convinve that he would beat any of the elites. Chad Dawson should fly out there and take that belt off of him. This Erdie fighter also fought a hard fight with the less than average Danny Santiago, the fighter that Tarver took apart in 4 rounds and carried a bit as well.
Very boring technical fight. Erdei was in total control, but as the 12th showed, if Erdei would've wanted to, he could've finished Abron at any moment. Clear but unnecessary decision.
