Who has more potential? Who wins if they fought today? Who wins if Eric has about three more fights? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ipXvEfXzJBI
Look, Fields knockout was nice, but it was against Kelvin Davis, who is basically shot at this point. You can't evaluate a guy based on one forty second performance. David Haye is a proven fighter and a world champion. Impossible to compare the two. Yes, if Fields fights a couple, three more fights against good competition, then we can START to evaluate him. Doing so now is pointless.
I have seen one fight of Fields against Davies, he can bang no doubt about it, wont even make a predicition knowing tolittle about him.
That's where you're wrong. Eric Fields has amazing reach, is faster than Haye, and puts together beautiful combinations. This guy might be the truth, and I'm not talking just at Cruiserweight. Haye is the one that's mediocre.
No, not at all. If he has a good chin, then he can easily develop over time into something better than Haye is. He's tall, lean, has good speed and good power and a good amatuer pedigree. But all of it means nothing if he can't take a major league shot, which Haye doesn't take the best of them, but can handle them and still continue in a fight where he was hurt.
Based on one KO of Kelvin Davis, who was coming back from a serious injury a few pretty brutal KO losses? Get me some footage.
WAY too early to be putting Fields into these kinds of matches. The kid has potential, but c'mon guys. I might pick him to take at out that joke Maccarinelli, but Haye is a bit much at this point.
