Eric Fields vs David Haye

I watched the Fields-Davis fight, yes he is good, but no more so than any other prospects on the same level. Haye would TKO him.

 

Haye will be a heavyweight after he knocks little mac out so it would be best to see how he does at heavy and how fields comes on in his next few fights befoe you start comparing the two.

Fields hasn't been chin-checked, and his defence hasn't been tested.

And his offence looks really good but can he adapt if someone forces him to change his gameplan?

Can he adapt if someone starts to fight dirty?

If he gets knocked down can he keep his confidence?

There's alot of questions that remain to be answered.

 

Fields vs Yoan Pablo Hernandez might be a good one. Each of them could use some testing.

From what I'd read about Fields before the Davis fight, it seems that his endurance is pretty horrible. He'll need to improve in that regard if he's to make it anywhere.

When people talk about Fields great reach, they also gotta remember that Kelvin Davis is shorter than Shane Mosley, Celestino Caballero or Paulie Malignaggi. I couldn't find Fields' height anywhere, but I doubt he's any taller than 6'3".

Wait a minute, you're basing this off what, exactly? One fight that lasted a minute and his body type? Hypotheticals mean nothing when not based on a sample size. Fields has a one minute resume from FNF.

You have to do more than knock out a shot Kel Davis to even be mentioned in the same breath as Haye.

 

Haye would be too much for him right now. Fields looks very promising; he could turn out to be an excellent champion, so let's give him a couple of years.

 

Too early to put Fields with Haye. As much as I love Fields I need to see him with some better competition before I start taking him over world champions. He is VERY promising though. Great pedigree with visible flaws yet. I'm all aboard the Eric Fields express!
