It was on Sky mate, Quigley was just walking forward and Ochieng just picked him to pieces, dominant victory. Ochieng looked quality in that fight.

without doubt I have seen him take punishment in at least one fight.

was highly unimpressed by his debut at the time. He seems to have come on since.

I was impressed with the above fight but I still think a classy operator will stop him.

Always interesting when two young hungry fighters fight at a level they haven't really competed at before.

If both Ochieng and Smith fought Rose that would be a step up for both, a fairly significant one IMO.

I'm very pleased with this fight, haven't seen a lot in Smith to get overly excited about if I'm being completely honest.

Have to agree, I know Nick personally and he feels the fight went badly but he also feels Ochiengs power isn't that much to right home about.

  7. Wasn't he meant to fight the contender guy on Froch undercard ?

I think Smith's come on really well under Joe. I think there styles work well together and he is making clear progress, I reckon he will edge this on points.

He's a strong lad, dedicated, looks a good puncher, Ive just seen more in Ochieng TBH, I hope Liam Smith can get into Ochieng and press him if he does he'll do well but .............!

Hearn was talking about matching Ochieng with Rose 12 months ago, this is all geared towards that fight.

Liam Smith will have other things on his mind but I think thats Eddie's chain of thought here, the only thing is he may be nudging Ochieng forward too fast, Im not sure the Smith fight will underscore this but it seems he's placing a lot of confidence in the lad, he speaks very highly of him.

Totally agree on Smith's improvements. I remember watching him draw against a journeyman a few years back, he looked truly awful. Fair play to Liam, he's stuck at it and has improved massively.

  14. I don't think Ochieng would get anywhere near Brian Rose.
