He's 3-0 in most peoples eyes.

I'm a fan. He is like a hybrid between Anderson and Wanderlei that happens to also be a Silva.

Good Muay Thai, good gnp and good subs...what's not to like.Set's a great pace and has a murderous killer instinct. He has a habit of getting a little sloppy on occasion though

Would love to see him in with a Fitch/Kos next to see how he does against a high level grinder who will take him out of his comfort zone and test his stamina

He should be 3-0 but the dumbass ref robbed him of the victory. Erick Silva is the future WW champ!

What about Mike Pierce? They both just fought on the same card, and Pierce is just a very small notch below both Kos/Fitch in grinding aptitude.

I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't get too big of a big step up. They might put him in against a guy like Mike Pyle, who is very beatable, but still fairly accomplished and a decent test. Maybe even the winner of Waldburger/Ebersole.

Very exciting fighter who fight balls to the wall.
Stuffed a lot of takedowns agains Brenneman who is a good wrestler.
While taken down he was threatening with submissions and used every opportunity to get back to his feet.In the stand up he goes forward with his strikes.
A very offensive fighter no matter where the fight takes place.

All very good choices. Id prefer Ebersole from that list as it would be very fun whilst it lasted.

He'll probably get Pyle or pierce though, or maybe Ellenburger if Joe Silva thinks he's ready, then Kos/Fitch/Diego to push him into contender status

Dream fight would be Rory Mac though, cant wait for that to happen down the line

I wouldn't mind seeing Erick fight a striker in his next fight. Maybe Thiago Alves?

My favourite kind of fighter. He just comes to fight and will look for a violent finish where ever the fight is - punching range, kicking range, on top, gnp, submission, off his back etc Fedor was the prototype for an aggressive striker grappler always trying to finish.

Silva looks a million dollars at the moment. The problem is because he fights like an all rounder we don't know where his weak points are. Maybe he is smart and will employ a strategy for each fighter. GSP was once an all rounder until he found out he was human and then he employed strategies for each fight. IF Silva goes all out like he does then he is either a great all rounder or we'll find out he is weak towards RNCs, GnP, knees in the clinch etc

At the moment though he looks a million dollars, I love his all rounder style and I hope he continues to embrace that while evolving in every area to ensure he is the best he can be.
