Him versuse Matthew Hall would be a fascinating fight though because him sitting on the ropes would be right where Hall would want him but again sometime hall can be easy to hit and comes forward in straight lines.

Ochieng would pick Hall apart, would be fun though.

Hall would be good if only to see if Ochieng can do what he did against Quigley against a puncher. It would play out similarly.

I think he'd be on the move more against Hall, like in the Valentine fight.

Why do we always wait for the Americans to come over to see some technical boxing. Well done Erick your style is class its made for the distance. So many British boxers are all energy and huff & puff but this guy has skill & abilty and is very patience. I think there's alot more to come from the Eagle. I saw on Twitter that he sparred Kell Brook before the Hatton fight and it was quality

I like him but still has a bit to go in terms of polishing his technique but as with that sort of free flowing style you do have to feel your way into it. I think Napa is involved in his training and that can only help.

I really enjoyed the Quigley fight but he let Quigley put it on him a bit to much when he could have been a bit cuter and taken a bit less damage and conserved his energy. Though he fights off the ropes well he cant let somebody impose themselves on him as easily as Quigley did.

That said he is definitely one to watch and you get the feeling there is a lot more to come from him.

Yes much more to come from him. What people have to remember it was only his tenth fight. Some boxers have 15 bums before they fight someone decent but its goes to show boxing too many journeyman don't help. Some boxers like Erick has to do things the hard way and some just gets everything given to them, but thats boxing

Hall would blow this kid away within 8.
People banging on about his win over Quigley! Who exactly is Quigley?
As soon as Ochieng gets in with a Matthew Hall or Joe Sekirk its goodnight.

Matthew Hall is a very limited fighter, exciting but limited, his power gets overrated aswell.

we need to slow down with Ochieng here, there are plenty of fighters at Light middle who deserve a british title shot more than him , he beat Quigley and what?
Selkirk, Hall, Webb even Bradley Pryce would give Ochieng trouble

ye you may be right, but he just won the enlgish title, natural next step is british, i think webb is still probably no.1, or its betwen him and rhodes, but those other fighters need to make the right movements to get a shot, if erick wants a shot or an eliminator, he's got a right to start looking for that, and jamie's been waiting a while for a british title shot at welter or light middle

This, really thought he would at least win a British title after he sparked Pryce, wasn't to be.
