We all know how funny boxing can be, the next 12 months will be interesting. I dont think Sam Webb has gotten over the fight with Aaron, his balance looked worrying. Lets see what his like against Hall, but for me Ochieng is the one to watch.

He's a capable outfighter and fights well off the ropes. Still not refined enough, so he'd do well mixing up his approach when he has to.

Looks a quality domestic prospect though. Remember him being upset a while back, what was the story there Kos?

He prepared for 8 rounder to be told 1hr before the fight that he was fighting a 4 rounder. He threw the quality shots and fighting off the ropes like he does but ref gave it to the fighter who came forward so lost by 1 point. thats whats happens when you deal with small hall promoters sometimes

in was there thsat night. vs luke robinson wasnt it? was a 4 round fight fought at a ferocious pace and a lot of the work was very smothered from both. hard to score.

like eric, looked great in his last fight

I'll add that Robinson kept up a very high work rate that wouldn't have been sustained if it had been an 8-rounder. Ochieng was basically hustled out of the fight.

It's on YouTube, worth a watch:

Same lad who I used to spar with is Luke Robinson when we were both amateurs, he won't do much in the pros I reckon. Thats all he ever has been able to do keep up a good work rate and hit hard.

Yep you need a little bit more than that in boxing.

Guys keep your eyes out for Ola Ekunyado. Very seasoned amateur who was jobbed in the ABA's a few years back. Gone pro and made his debut @ the Troxy last weekend. Trained at Haringey Police alongside Erick, Chris 'The Flash' Evangelou, Michael Grant (Pro) & Peter Haymer (Pro).

I used to train alongside "Wreckless" (that was Erick's name in his AM days) at Haringey Police, murderous puncher. Seen him drop so many guys in the ring. Even did a round with him once. Top guy.

A few of those Haringey boys have gone pro. Chris, Erick, Ryan, Mark, Micheal. Don't know if Haringey could produce that quality of boxers again.

Haven't been back there in a few years but the trainers that were there at that time have gone their separate ways, fallouts and stuff. Sparring was what made the club produce that talent. All those guys would spar each other constantly, all around LW - WW so they were competitive but friendly. Great environment to be in.
