Wtf?! After all that waiting, Liborio Solís isn't even fighting?

I was looking forward to a battle of elders in 38 year old Noel "Zappa Tokyo" Reyes Cepeda taking on the Mexican ex-super flyweight champ from Venezuela (who turns 43 in March).

Instead we get "Meneito" Jiménez, a 33 year old countryman of Cepeda's, as late sub.

 

Somebody's listed height must be wrong. BoxRec has Cepeda listed at 5'7" and Jiménez at 5'6" - but Jiménez is clearly a good few inches taller.

 

It's almost 1am in Santo Domingo but there is still an extremely small and extremely vocal contingent hanging around to cheer somebody on.

 

RTD1!

Reading between the lines, the way that Jiménez kept blinking in the last minute of the round, I think he got flicked in his eye by a Cepeda jab and it was too irritated for him to continue.
