MSM got a little wild in the 4th going for a KO.

 

Irusta has it 50-45, the same as myself.

Maidana imposing himself physically and throwing a pretty high volume of loaded up shots, but lots of fluid movement and counter jabs from Banquez keeping it from being a whitewash.

 

Banquez given an eight count late in R7.

Slow motion replay shows that he was clearly pushed to a knee with both of Maidana's gloves bearing down on his shoulders. Oh well.

 

Irusta's card (and mine) has it 80-71 to Maidana.

Dude's already losing a shutout, they really didn't have to pour salt on the wound by including that chintzy knockdown call.

This was Banquez' third outing and third loss of 2025, coming off a KO1 blitz to Riku Masada this past June in Tokyo.

Maidana improves to 14-0-1 (5).

The main event should be relatively quick & explosive.

Former kickboxer Erik "Acorozado (The Battleship)" Miloc is 10-0 (9) and southpaw Nahuel "La Caña (The Reed)" Gonzalo García is 18-3 (16), stopped twice.

Both look super lean & wiry-strong.

 

Solid opener. NGG on the front-foot, not here to lie down.

 

Both standing tall, pecking with their jabs, and trying for big looping rear hand shots when they detect an opening. No real clear advantage yet, two close rounds.

Miloc complaining of body shots but the ref not taking action, implicitly calling them legal body shots; some of them look borderline.

García with a huge overhand left knockdown to start round three!

Miloc is up and they go to war.

MILOC DOWN AGAIN!

Two minutes remain on the clock. NGG pressing in, unloading, hammering blows down with both hands. Miloc countering with jabs on the body and straight rights on the face with his back against the ropes. Miloc with a bad welt & cut on his right cheek now. García smothering him with short combos and uppercuts. Miloc rallies to free himself from a corner with a three-piece. Miloc whipping hooks into the right glove of García to fend him off, aiming to cave in his eardrums.

What a round!
