Erik Morales: Classless?

Morales certainly did his fair share of dickhead actions. Posing over a fallen opponent is up there..as is calling Barrera a *** to his face at the pre-fight conference and then being shocked when Barrera punched him.

That doesn't make him any less of a boxing legend though.

 

bobby boy beat up his lil brother, and talked **** about it like a punk....he later went on to talk **** about erik....if anything, aside from his skill, that's what makes people love him.......

and the barrera **** was started by barrera himself.....barrera would call him a peasant and a poor kid etc etc.....then morales started talking ****

 

It was cuz that motha****a beat his brother and talked smack,he got it coming

 

He still called him a *** to his face...and if we're comparing evil words. A *** is a lot worse than saying you're poor.

Like I said it doesn't take anything away from Morales, in fact I agree that it enhances his reputation.

 

I think Barrera called Erik really nasty words, not just "poor".

Nasty equivalents of the word "poor".

I think it was something like "Indian" and "ignorant", "uneducated" and "shanty town kid".

Something like that.

 

I do remember hearing Barrera call him an indian...either an indian or dirty. Regardless *** is still worse IMHO.

Someone's GOTTA have a clip of it somewhere. It's one of the greatest boxing press conferences I've ever witnessed.

I wish they'd do commentary together for HBO. Imagine all the inside jabs, swipes and insults they'd hurl at one another

 

Him and Barrera had great trash talk besides the fights

 

Nah, Barerra was far more classless than Erik.

 

Why?

 

It was classless but that guy had it coming after talking **** about Morales. Also, he might have called Barrera a *** but Barrera said some nasty things regarding his heritage and where he came from.

Barrera is not exactly an angel either and he's just as capable of being an ass without provocation or when he's really frustrated. I think I remember him trying to intentionally headbutt pac during their first fight...

 

I also used to side with Barrera before. I hated Erik for the trash talking, and for pouring water on MAB's dad.

But the more I read interviews of those 2 guys, the more I see whose the better person. I kinda feel MAB's the real douchebag here.

Morales has basically said that he'll never be friends with Marco, because he's a dirty fighter, he's a backstabber and he tries to act all gentlemanly on cam, but is a ******* when nobody's around filming.

I still respect MAB as a fighter, but I think he's a snooty, rich boy in real life.

 

I think that's pretty much what it is.

I think at the end of the day, they both brought out the best and worst in one another.

 

cause deep down inside he's an *******...morales has class, but once you talk **** about him, IT'S ON...

barrera started all that **** with morales way before their fight...he would always talk smack about morales....

and even then, when morales was asked why barrera would talk **** about him...all he said was that maybe cause barrera grew up rich and he grew up poor.....
