Tell me. What's this big difference your talking about between the "old fighters" and the "young and hungry fighters" when the FACT of the matter is those "old fighters" Pac fought would WHOOP those "young and hungry fighters" that you wanted Pac to fight?

Oh I can't wait to see your reply for this.

this claim is really stupid... why don't you criticize calzaghe for fighting a shot jones and not bash on pac as if he does not deserve to be mentioned alongside morales and barrera

you don't make sense at all. so who do you propose that pac should fight now? all the other fighter at 130/135 are old. casa is shot, campbell is a grandpa already, guzman is 32, marquez is 35. soto and juan diaz just came from a loss and is not a good fight prospect for pac then. he should be fighting a young and dangerous valero but cannot get a clearance.

you are really an IDIOT!!! :good

God I hate it when people are saying Pac made a living out of fighting old fighters. It seems as if they only started watching Pac after beating Morales for the 3rd time. They dont realize that Pac was a huge underdog back in November 2003. That was the stepping stone for him.

He was a 5 to 1 underdog, IIRC.

No, calling him an indian is far worse. Why? because he really did grow up poor and in the slums. Everyone knows Barrera isnt really a ***. What he said was racist and insulting. It would be like a middle class black like SRL calling another fighter names for being darker and poorer things like "midnight black" "bushboy" "ghetto" ect. its the same sort of thing.

So there was a long standing rivalry between them that Barrera started.

For those that think Morales lacks class, tell me one nasty thing he has ever said about Paquiao. Him and paquiao have became good friends, have done commercials together and hanged out. Anyone who is classless and mean spirited would not have become friends with someone who knocked them out twice, that takes a great deal of humility:deal

I would love to see a clip of that press conference. I don't believe Marco ever said it. I believe EM said that he said it, but I don't think it's true.

Maybe they would, maybe they wouldn't. Point is we'll never find out, because Pac will never fight them.

Guzman isn't a used up 32 who's been thru two career's worth of wars like MAB and EM. Same with Marquez, although Manny is patiently waiting for him to get a few years older before their next fight. Soto's loss was BS, which everyone knows. Nate Campbell is old, yes, but showed signs of life in his last fight so Pac will stay away, same with Diaz. As for Valero, Guerrero et al, they're all dangerous and still young so there is NO chance of a Pac fight for them.

Pac was a huge underdog because of the betting lines, which were created by people betting the fight who didn't know much about boxing. They just knew they liked MAB. People who followed boxing knew damn well the fight was ultra-dangerous, as did MAB. Too bad Manny can't follow MAB's example and make the same kind of fights in his turn.

pac was suppose to fight valero and not oscar if not for valero's difficulty in obtaining a clearance. after that, there was some noise of pac fighting campbell but he is already scheduled to fight guzman by that time. the oscar fight was just a product of pac not having a suitable partner this end of the year. soto should be a good opponent but he is guzman's leftover and just came from a disqualification lost. guerrero would just be a waste of pacquiao's remaining fights since he will retire very soon. pac (his management) would likely fight all the big fights now.

yes, boxing hardcore fans knew then that pacquiao was dangerous because he is a puncher but not to the extent that you are implying. they also knew that pac is coming up in weight and is a one-dimensional fighter that is waiting to be exposed by a master boxer like barrera. that was team barrera's thinking could have been then. a tune-up fight that turned out to be a nightmare.

Oh yes they would. By the time Pac fought EM who are the other top guys in the division beside MAB and JMM? What you gonna say Valero, Guzman, Soto? Be reasonable mate. Valero was and STILL is unproven don't expect for him to beat Pac after spending his whole career fighting bums in Japan. Guzman was also pretty inexperienced at that time, when Pac fought EM the 2nd time Guzman HASN'T even fought Barrios. He was pretty much UNTESTED at that time so how the hell could he be a top guy at that time? So now you only have Soto who is a solid fighter but a B-level fighter at most. EM, MAB and JMM would've handily beaten him.

So in the end, Pac fought THE top guys regardless of AGE. EM, MAB and JMM were the best fighters at the time BAR NONE. Guzman only came later on and even then Pac STILL fought JMM the 2nd time who is MORE dangerous than Guzman IMO.
