I've always liked Morales, and the heart/desire is there, but are the legs? If he were to beat Diaz, he would need to go all out in the first round to look for a KO/TKO in the early rounds. That's his only chance, because I don't see him outboxing anyone for 12 anymore.

i think it's the exact opposite. morales should try to stay in the outside and outwork diaz. the plan you mentioned was the exact same thing he tried to do with pac and where did it leave him? on the seat of his pants. morales will not KO anyone at 135 in the earle rounds, trust me on that, but he can outwork diaz IMO.

That is correct, but he really hasn't been that impressive since then. He's lucky to be a title-holder, very lucky.
Morales has a little something left, and Diaz has just the right style for him. Morales will school him.

I want Morales to win. He's a cool guy and I hope he wins this fight. He got nailed by Pacquiao to the face a lot because he didnt have enough head movement. I suggest in this coming fight, he stick and move, bob and weave a bit and get out of the pocket quickly.

Good Luck El Terrible, from a Filipino fan.

I wish Morales could do that at this point but his legs just look so heavy even at the start of fights now and its like he forgot how to balance himself and his coordination is just shot its sad but hes lost the skills and talents. I gotta give him props though because he lost what he had giving us fans everything he had in so many great wars ill never forget.

Eric looked horrible in his last fight with Pac, he looked shot. It wasn't just an off night, it was something else, and fighters just don't usually rebound back to old form after those kinds of outings.

He didn't just get caught, his legs weren't there, and his desire was gone, I hope he has one fight left, because even 75% Morales beats Diaz, but I doubt we can even see that much out of him.

This fight is only interesting because of Morales and what he has left, nobody gives two shits about Diaz.

Ive seen Diaz's fights and no way does it turn into a one sided fight for him.

Diaz is nothing special, if Morales has anything..and i mean anything in the tank at all he will win this comfortably by UD.

How often have you seen a shot fighter come in the next fight looking like his previous self?

It just doesn't happen. Morales had no legs in the second and third pac fights. Even more concerning was his pitty-patter no-power punches in the third fight.

I don't know enough about Diaz to say confidently he'll win, but if he's in top shape and has a little bit on his punches, he should be able to wear Morales down late.

That said, they're not the same class of fighter. It's just Morales is done.
