Erik Morales "I want JMM in May"

I wonder if eric is doing something to make this fight against juan manuel. May is around 8 months from now so if he can burn 7-8 lbs of fats a month then he may be able to make the weight.

It isn't going to happen. I have my doubts that Morales can even make Lightweight now, and Marquez is looking for either a third fight with Pacquaio or maybe fighting Hatton in the future. Either of which would be a bigger fight and have more meaning than fighting a shot Morales.

 

The sad part for me is that the fight will likely happen.
When you think about it, its a PPV money fight......in actuality the least risk for the most money for JMM.
I cant think of another fighter at lightweight that would net JMM more money than Morales, besides Pacquiao.

Sadly, if Erik Morales really wants this fight, it will happen.


My opinion of a JMM-Morales fight has been that even in Morales' prime, he was too slow for a fast combination punching JMM......
.....but now that Morales is so far from being at his best, I would'nt say he's completely shot, but he's pretty close.....

.....honestly now, I think Morales would embarrass himself trying to compete against a still very much elite JMM!

 

When Arum is not willing to make a bunch of money off of promoting your fight's, it is time to stop!

I for one would like to see it. don't care if erik is shot.

and if he beats JMM, out goes JMM-Pac 3 and in comes Pac-Morales 4...at 140.

 

His fight with David Diaz should clearly show us . . . that he'll be out hit and out manuevered by JMM.

A bad fight for him at this point.

 

As much as I like Morales he's finished and I can understand why Top Rank don't want to work with him anymore, when you can't beat David Diaz then you don't need more proof that you're done, I scored the fight for Morales but still it was a close one.

A fight with JMM will be very difficult for me to watch.

I think Barrera is shot, but Morales is nearly on a par with Holyfield. If Morales couldn't beat Raheem and David Diaz - it is obvious.

Damn it, why does he want to fight again ? He has nothing left to prove and still, the man want the most dangerous fighter right now.

Maybe we'll find out the truth if they ever tried to truly make this fight. Guys can finally hear the truth from both Morales & J.M.M.

 

Sadly, Morales will indeed fail and fail miserably against JMM.....this should be very apparent
