MORALES: I WILL BE THE STRONGEST, SMARTEST AND MOST EXPERIENCED IN THE RING AGAINST ALFARO

Morales: "Losing so much weight in recent months isn't going to affect me. For two and one-half months we worked a lot on the technical issues but we also made the best effort trying to achieve peak physical condition. I also mean that I was six months into the plan to establish a steady weight loss and here are the results. We planned to work hard to get into top form and I reached it."

Morales: "This is a good match against Alfaro. We know that he is very strong, but that's why we wanted to fight someone like him. I will not defraud anyone, let alone myself, and this is the optimal test. I will be the strongest, smartest and most experienced in the ring against Alfaro."

Im glad he's confident but confidence will only get you so far. I'll root for Morales regardless though.

Eric looks good after weighing around 200 pounds. I'm curious how his first fight after more 2 years at welterweight at that will come out. Good luck el terrible.

What he means is "Please buy my fight"

One of the best of this era IMO and should have stayed retired. Too late now though, it's happening. Just hope he finishes on his feet and sees the light.

I dont really like this, i mean hindsight is 20/20, if he looks great and the time off did him well and its all good, then ya i will have been wrong, but i dont think so, i think reality will be harsh come saturday.

I don't know too much about Alfaro, but I hope he's not a hard hitter. I think Morales will just try to win on points. I don't see him having the power at 135 lbs. and above for a knock-out.
