Erik Morales is far overrated.

Morales was at one point 49-2. With his only two losses to Barrera. With victories over Jones, Barrera and Pacquiao.

That's how good he was at his peak.

    He's clearly not overrated.

I like how people try to downplay his hilarious KO loss against Danny Garcia though.

The guy came in roided out of his mind and didn't even bothered making weight and got knocked the **** out. This was a rejuvenated Morales too, the same Morales who pushed Maidana's **** in and let his body heal after all the wars he had at the lighter weights.

A green, timid Danny Garcia in his first world title fight beat up and knocked Morales down in the first fight. After that, Morales took roids and got an immediate rematch yet folded like a lawn chair.

Like losing to Pac and Barerra is a bad thing! On the flip side he beat Pac and Barerra! The guy was tough and highly skilled! I don't know what you have against the man but, he was top notch! He has victories over 2 of the best fighters of that time! He beat Pac who is an ATG, Barerra is one of the best fighters that Mexico ever produced! So saying he lost top guys is a bit of an understatement. He lost to ATG's. No shame in that!

Rejuvenated? He struggled bad with every opponent he fought during his comeback.
Then he had back to back wars with Maidana, Cano and Garcia. After the last one he had surgery shortly before the rematch.
And roids? He took some illegal weight loss ****.

Danny Garcia knocked out a 36 year old Eric Morales, whose best days were over a decade ago

Of course he was rejuvenated, after all those wars at the lighter weights, he needed time for his body to heal.

After 3 years he did nothing but eat tacos and enchiladas, he was fatter than Hamed after the long lay off. No training after several years and eating like a pig in a higher weight class, you're obviously gonna have ring rust. After the rust came off though, he went toe to toe with the biggest puncher at JWW, and beat him up with one eye. Something Floyd and Alexander couldn't do. He beat him up, got robbed, then went on to get a paper strap against a ranked, undefeated Cano.

After that he challenged the green Timid Garcia and gave him all he could handle. 7 months later he got an immediate rematch, this time against a much more confident Garcia. He took roids, and was one of the only fighters to be caught by USADA... :rofl

We all know what roids does to people, especially at an advances age. We saw what a fat 40 year old Guillermo Jones did to Lebby after taking the same substance Morales took. We also saw what Holyfield and Toney did later in their careers. The same fat Toney who outboxed "who necks" Samuel Peter.
