He was robbed of a great win to go out on...though to Diaz's credit he showed an unshakable will and great bodypunching to come back and really make that fight close. I think I only had the KD separating them in the end aswell.
He was an excellent fighter in his prime, I think he beats a lot of well regarded superbantams and featherweights, including Erik... For the most part outmuscled as well as outboxed a strong and very physical fighter in Villasana. Marcos was a very very tough fighter...check out his fights with Nelson. He pushes Azumah very hard but for the life of me I dont understand why they were only majority decisions...actually I have only ever seen the 2nd one but most say the first was just as clear for Nelson. But Marcos is another awesome little mexican...one of the best chins you are going to see around those weights.
