ERIK MORALES on DANNY GARCIA: He's a Normal Fighter, Not Great (!)

well I guess that means that Morales lost to a normal fighter.

 

Call him normal all he wants but he got beat regardless. The last opponent he faced was even more normal and he gave Morales hell throughout.

So what's that say about Erik?

He's right. Garcia doesn't suck, but he's not anything special

 

Yeah, Morales been shot for over half a decade and was fighting at 2 weight classes too big.

 

Eric Morales is not a natural at this weight class and was way past his prime. as is often the case with past prime greats the age shows post round 5 and el terrible was no diffrent. he still gave a young hungry fighter a hard night and that is all we should really expect from a man who gave us so many good nights. on the flip side it does highlight the fact that a past prime older fighter gave a new champ so much trouble when you take current crop into consideration. I am sure a few fighters will have been watching this and fancying their chances.

 

Erik is right. He knows he's shot and yet he gave García a tough time. García is nothing to write home about.

So being honest nowadays is considered classles. What would have been considered classy? Look erik himself said if he couldn't beat an upper level fighter it wasn't worth it. He knows he is done. He got beat by a normal fighter time to hang it up erik. I don't consider that to be classless.

 

Morales doesn't sugar coat anything...
