Please only the Morales nutthuggers and the people from tijuana had him winning that fight.

heres some headlines from leading boxing magazines regarding that fight:

KO: "Defiling a Masterpiece: Morales and Barrera fought their Hearts out.....Then came the Decision"

The Ring: " 'I Pressed Him, I Hurt Him & I Beat Him'...There was nothing more Barrera could do but get Screwed!"

Boxing 2000: "Morales-Barrera: Boxing's Latest Scoring Fiaso! When the Wrong Guy Wins, Everybody Loses"

Boxing Monthly: "There Has to Be A 'But'...Morales and Barrera served up a truly classic Encounter, but the decision left rightsiders scratching their heads"

That last entry had the following quote in it:

"One Point, Five Points, close or convincing, the thought that was foremost in my mind and that of most others, was that, REGARDLESS of the Margin, Barrera had won."

I accept that most people thought Barrera won, they liked his attacking in bursts, I myself preferred the higher workrate of Morales & MAB only won the last rd 10-9 on my card, there was no real KD.
There are people who think Morales won too now... at the time EM was a 5/1 favourite, Barrera did better than he was supposed to - as he did in the 3rd fight but if you watch those fights without commentary, there is nothing in them.... I gave Morales 7 rds in fight 1... 8 rds in fight 2 & 6 rds in fight 3 but the 1st fight has more close rds than clear rds so its always debatable.

Barrera won the first fight plain and simple for me it was the clearest win of the trillogy, the fact that you have Morales winning all three fights or at least not losing any of them clearly shows you´re biased.

I had Morales clearly winning the 2nd fight & the 3rd fight even.... the 1st fight had rds which I still find hard to split to this day so I have no problem with anyone giving it to Barrera.
    For the record....
Fight 1... I gave Morales rds 3,4,5,6,7,9 & 10 - go watch all of those rds & you will understand what I mean.
    Fight 2... I gave Morales rds 1,2,4,5,7,8,10 & 11 (3 was even)
Fight 3... I gave Morales rds 2,4,7,8,11 & 12 - the easiest fight of the trilogy to score.

I may be a bit biased as Morales is my favourite fighter & I dont like Barrera but I dont say what I dont believe.... I genuinely thought Morales won those rds above even tho some are debatable.

    This is pure Morales nuthugging.

The closes fight of the three is the second one, and even though I scored it for Morales myself a scorecard for Barrera isnt out of the question.

The first fight was a robbery for sure, Morales needed to win the final round to atleast retain his title with atleast a draw and he got KD.

Anyone who scores the third fight for Morales has some serious issues and should give up on boxing all together.

I know you´re a big Morales fan and im not going to argue too much about this, they´re both great fighters and i like them both although i like Barrera more.

how you gave Morales roudn nine of the first fight is behond me.

but i guess were gonna have to agree to disagree :good

    Good man.
I can accept that (as long as you scored fight 2 to Morales :D)

Scoring the 3rd fight a draw is just as bad as scoring Pac/EM I a draw, and I know you feel Morales clearly won that fight.

Rd 9 was another close one, I felt Marco started better but Erik just outworked him thru the middle of the rd & undid all Marco`s early work... but Marco did catch him with a beautiful combo to finish the rd, he may have levelled the rd with that or even took the rd due to his early success... as you say, its all preference & its pointless to argue, we are unlikely to change each others minds anyway.

I scored Morales-Pac I 7-5 to Morales.... a draw wouldnt have been the worst decision ever, especially with Morales more or less conceding the last rd but I do feel the right man got it.

I have no problem with anyone giving Barrera (or Morales for that matter) the 3rd fight 7-5... as long as its by route of giving either guy both rds 3 & 4 because they were the ONLY rds that were hard to decide a winner, every other rd could be split one way or another.
I personally gave Morales rd 4 & Barrera rd 3 which is why I had the draw.

First fight was close, but MAB had a clear edge.

Second fight, they split the first six rounds and MAB pretty much SWEPT the last six rounds, so if you're not a complete and utter ****ing moron, how can you possibly say EM was robbed with a straight face?

Third fight clear victory for MAB.

I love EM as much as I love MAB, but facts is facts. Trying to diminish MAB isn't doing any service to EM.
