Close fight but i feel like Morales's harder punches might tell down the stretch, i guess this fight would be similar to Barrera vs Morales. With Fenech as the aggressor and Morales boxing on the outside using his longer reach to land the right hand, Fenech had a 66 inch reach and Morales had a 72 inch reach so i think that would also be telling aswell. I don't think Fenech is as good technically nor does he go to the body aswell as Barrera, but he does have unlimited stamina and a non stop aggressive style. But i think Morales would be able to deal with Fenech's style and win a close decision late on.

I'll take Fenech to decision Morales. Jeff Fenech won't give Morales time to breathe and will be all over him with his mauling style. He'll give Morales the same kind of issue that Barrera did. But damn what a helluva fight.

Morales's size, durability and power at the weight aligned with his excellent straight punching arsenal and his ability to take little bouncy backwards and sideways half steps to create the right range and angle would be a challenge for Fenech no doubt.

But yeah, ultimately Morales was far too porous defensively, hot-headed and easy to hit at any range to ever really get top side of Fenech imo, especially up close where Fenech was stronger and a better mauler and infighter, also considering that Fenech wasn't easy to hit flush on his way in at 122. Really able to close the gap quickly with his hands up and chin down behind set up punches. If Morales had battles with the likes of Chi and Jesus Chavez....

What a fight though. Fenech clear UD in an absolute war.

Jeff by close decision, could be a real ding dong of a war.
