Both @ 122? Morales wins by UD. I imagine Guzman would be tricky earlier on in the fight, but Morales takes over from round 5 to the end.
In my opinion, Erik Morales by KO, Guzman is good don't get me wrong but Morales in his prime was in another level:ko
Oh My God!!! :yikes How are they even comparable?? No way.. :bart The legendary Morales UD guzman easily.. They don't belong in the same stratosphere.
This is a head to head matchup, not a comparison of their careers. So stop acting like it's far-fetched.
Exactly. Resume's don't win fights for you. Guzman was a top 122er, and legit threat to anyone at that weight when he fought. I would still pick Morales, but I think Guzman would put a good fight.
This would be a very competitive fight. Morales never liked them slicksters. If you look at his resume, through the large majority of his career, Morales has fought mainly brawler-types. You saw how much Raheem frustrated him. Morales doesnt like to chase you. He wants you in the middle of the ring trading with him.
Guzman has the stylistic advantage in this one as Morales had some difficulty with pure boxers. I think Guzman would use his movement and stay away from Morales for most of the fight but I don't think he could do enough to win the fight. Morales by UD.
Decission or K.O. . . . I'll still pick Morales. Morales at his prime is beyond Guzman at his prime.:yep
