The article is in Spanish but, what says is that as JMM-Morales rumors of their fight being in jeopardy increasing, Maidana is looking as a strong candidate to face Morales for the WBA Jr.welter interim belt. Marquez said on Monday night that "If they want me to face Morales they better treat me like a champion, if not, I'm not fighting Morales or anybody in April". No agreement yet have been reached for their April bout.

Would love to see this fight, if Morales has it in him.

We know Morales has an iron chin.

    HAD* an iron chin.

Maidana can be outboxed but this has massacre written all over it.

Word. His chin had trouble handling Diaz power. Maidana would murder him. I can see Morales outboxing Maidana for the first 4-6 rounds then gradually getting broken down and stopped brutally.

Get the stretcher ready and the meds at ring side, Morales is going to need it.

The big question why the hell would Morales INSIST to fight that mofo. Maidana would put the finishing touch on Erik's career. The only reason I had any sort of interest in the next Morales fight because Dinamita-Terrible was the only one missing from the great MAB-JMM-Pac-Erik rivalry and Marquez, avoided for long, deserved to close that big 4 with his own two fists. It was also slighly more winnable for Morales given JMM is small even for a LW, but Maidana - you're a warrior etc. etc., but that is simply stupid.

The bigger question is, why is it for a WBA championship? Is the WBA trying to make champions out of past their prime boxers like Morales?

You didn't by chance mean to post El terrible where you put Maidana's name, and vice versa in that sentence did you?

    Exactly.

WBA "regular" belt, Khan holds the real one.

    Absolutely wrong.

I have no idea why Morales is insisting on this match... maybe he sees something he can exploit in Maidana.

    Good luck with that Erik.

who in the **** has ever out boxed Midana? Khan....no let me tell you Khan got battered from pillar to post for the last half of the fight and if it wasn't for a rediculous knock down that Should have stopped any mortal human being Khan would have gotten that treatment a whole lot sooner. He was lucky to win a good back and forth battle...but honestly I don't really see anyone in the division capable of out boxing Midana. I think Bradley would win simply because he's tough enough to take his ****...but he certainly wouldn't "outbox" him. IT would be a war.
