If Erik Morales would have fought Pacquiao before any of his wars against Barrera, would the outcome be the same? (2 wins to 1 for Pac)

the first fight already showed what morales would do to pac if he hadnt been in so many wars. And yes, fighters turn old overnight so nobody here give me that 'well he fought pac the second time not too far after' horse****. The zaheem fight showed he was already getting to the end, his rematch with a young hungry pac solidified it. Prime morales beats prime pac any day of the week. And it was already proven.

there will always be fireworks everytime these two fight. i can't say for sure that the pre-mab morales will beat pac everytime they fight. it really depends on the conditioning, motivation, etc. luck, even cuts. it all just really depends

Whilst you never know with certainty, I agree, 2-0.

    No.

Considering the MAB 1st fight happened in 2000 at 122 lbs that means the fights would take place there & Morales was better there than at any other weight were after moving up he suffered from a great deal of speed loss for some reason.

Pac got better as he got older as he always was always a freak of nature physically & was ragged early on in his career, the sort of opponent that Erik would pick off all night long, Pac can box much better now.

Morales was always good from the get go & stuck with what he knew to move up the weights - if its not broke dont fix it kind of thing - but as the wars took their toll & he stuck with his original style (great boxer that slugs too much) he inevitably started fading.

My honest view without any bias - Morales beats Pac any time they meet until he starts to slow - lets not forget guys that Morales WAS NOT PRIME when he beat the same version of Pac that drew with JMM (beat him on my card) & TKOd Barrera.

Pac obviously improved as a fighter after the 1st EM fight & they wouldnt be able to have a peak v peak fight as Pac`s peak was, well, now (130/135) & EMs was 122.

Morales at 122 would have won clear enough that the calls for a rematch would merely be because it was a good fight, not because it was debatable IMO & Erik would win again.

    :thumbsup

since he didn't see the JMM blueprint on how to beat Pac...I say he gets blitzed just like MAB.

Morales wouldnt even know what hit him if they ever fought each other. Pac had the element of surprise.

Morales would beat him a lot easier then in their first fight if they fought in 2000-2001. Pacquiao has improved a lot as a boxer the last few years.

    Morales fought nothing like JMM.

Morales was Morales and that's how he beat Pac.

Agree with you that the element of surprise played a big part in Pac's dominating performance over MAB!

The only way Manny Pacquiao defeats prime Morales is by knockout, and I wouldn't favour anybody in history to stop prime Erik.

    2-0 Morales.
