Erik Morales from Barrera I vs. Nonito Donaire from his 2012 Fighter of the Year campaign w/ victories over Vazquez, Mathebula, Nishioka, and Arce. This match up is mouthwatering as fook! :scaredas:
People who charge at Nonito tend to get knocked out. El Terrible was pretty aggressive and came forward all night against Barrera.
El Terrible is a much better version than Walters and iron chinned. Erik was big even for a featherweight. Morales by wide UD, but if Nonito makes it a war he gets ko'd. Simply not on El Terrible's level, no disrespect to Nonito, who was a great champ himself.
I rate Morales very highly h2h at 122. He was huge for the weight, he could box , he could bang, he could take a punch and he had heart for days. Besides Gomez and Barrera, I'd favor him over every super bantamweight in the last 40 years.
Morales had an Iron chin, Donaire is not knocking him out. If anyone is getting knocked out in this match up its Donaire with his porous defense.
Morales all the way. Donaire at 122 always looked for that one punch. Even at 126 Donaire opted for his power and got KTFO.
