YOU'LL never get a fair judgement about naz here on ESB people hate him because of the cocky attitude he brought into the ring, they translate all of this to his performance in the ring which is just sad.

Please don't be so blind and sugar coat this trilogy saying that Barrera won all 3 wtf is wrong with you?
the 1st fight was extremely close and could have gone either way for Barrera or Morales by a point.

the 2nd fight Morales clearly won that fight Barrera barely showed up to fight in the rematch..

    3rd fight Barrera clearly won

What is wrong with some of you people? :patsch

Styles make fights and you can compare how who beat who better or whatever but guess what anyone with a brain knows it doesn't work that way and how fighters do against different opponents doesn't mean anything at all in terms of how the fight would go between the two. Saying Naz would beat Morales because he hits hard is like saying Trinidad would KO Bernard Hopkins because he hits hard......IT AIN'T HAPPENING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!:nono

no what is more sad is that Naz got blown out of the water with a disgusting ass beating for 12 entire rounds by his first REAL opponent and then he retired and ran away from boxing with NO heart or pride..I'm sorry but it is truly hard to even put Naz and Morales in the same sentence.

Just because Barrera won doesn't mean anything... I think Naz would frusterate Morales and draw him in to a fight he shouldn't fight. I said Naz hits harder than Pac because someone else was comparing him. If Morales fought a smart fight he takes it, but if not he looses.

I haven't seen either fight in a while but I disagree here. Morales both guys pretty much dominated wayne.

In response to the original thread question. I think that Morales wins this one. People keep refering to hameds power and there is no denaying that he had lots of it however Erik had the chin and mental toughness to fire back and break Hamed down IMO

Lets See....the first time NAz stepped in with a P4P, he was OUTCLASSED....did he land one meaningful shot on BArrera....he loooked like an AMATEUR with no Fundamentals.......ERik was and will always be leagues above NAz, skills, heart...Cmon Naz losed and gets embarrased while doing so...what happens? he leaves the sport.....

NAz had Power, problem for him is Morales Chin in his prime was indestructible....Morales walks through him, or outboxes him.....can win both ways!.

everytime there's a hypothetical hamed vs. someone match up, it always goes hamed would get outboxed, but then lands his mythical power punch and puts the other guy to sleep. whats the point of making these matchups if all it takes is for hamed to land, and then boom! lights out. we should take intangibles into consideration such as a shift in tactics during the match, level of competition etc..

What the **** does Naz power have to do with him winning? Did Trinidad's power save him from getting technically broken down by Bernard Hopkins who could take his shots?

Morales would outclass Naz easily the same way...It doesn't matter how unorthadox Naz is..that actually just makes it worse for him..He'd get killed naz has No defence. He was dropped 3 times by Kelly and he was beaten like a ***** against Barrera..Morales chin > Barreras chin...Dude would not even have a chance to Knock out Morales..

And then people say if Morales boxes he wins and if he fights he losses? Get a clue seriously Morales fought 1 way his entire life. He fought every fight using his technical skills but always fought a toe to toe war with EVERYONE hes been in the ring with. What the F is Naz going to do that Morales ain't used to? NOTHING because punching power doesn't mean **** when your up against a WORLD CLASS chin and your technically outclassed and outsized. Man you people are CRAZYYYYYY :rofl:rofl:rofl

Morales isn't a technical master though, he is a good boxer but he brawls. Hamed had very fast counters and lead powerpunches in his prime, which very few avoided.

Morales got destroyed by Pacman who only threw simply 1-2s and an aoccasional bodyshot. He got beat up by a limited journeyman in Diaz and had his head boxed off by Raheem. Morales technical boxing isn't that great!!!

Yes Morales was past his prime but so was Hamed when he faced Barrera. Hamed was in his prime in 1995 and was past prime and untrained when he faced Barrera. He used his boxing skills back then but This is actually documented in the documentary made on the build up to the fight - Hamed didn't train its in video footage

Morales is going to brawl and get KO'd in this 1. Hamed is the better puncher and better boxer and in his prime didn't get hit.

I agree Naz was at his peak in 1995 probably vs Robinson & that version would give any 122-126 lber a fight but Morales did so many important things better than Naz & it would show during the fight, as said before, Erik had that granite chin in his prime & all the technical skills & killer instinct to really put Naz thru hell.

Morales by late tko or very clear cut UD.
