i'd have to say morales in a thrilling and possibly brief fight, but anyone doubting hameds power is a fool. the man was a monstrous puncher .
how many of them ended up ****ed up on their back though ? most fighters would dream of " struggling " like that . and its medina
Plus Naz ****ed up his training camp, it was like when Rocky done the showbiz training camp and got ****ed. Naz was very underprepared for the MAB fight. Its a pity he didnt come back with more application and show everyone what he could do.
Im sick of this absolute bull****. Naseem`s own words in the locker room after losing to Barrera were something like this `I just tried so so hard to knock him out, I trained really hard for this fight` or some **** like that. I dont even like Barrera but PLEASE dont try take away 1 of the mans best performances & victories by claiming that Naz didnt train properly, the complete opposite is true, all Naz did was talk up Barrera saying how much he respected him & how he was gonna be at his best for him, so please stop with the utter bull****. Morales beats Naz just as easy except doesnt let him off the hook after stunning him as MAB did several times as he was too wary of Hameds power. No doubt. :thumbsup
The reason barrera beat naz in short is because he boxed him, yes he did rough him up as well. but in the build up he made naz think it was going to be a war, he did the same with morales in the second and third fight. barrera had a good team behind him and on most nights when they chose to box it worked. Morales is not boxer, he is an all out fighter, and for that reason i think that a prime naz (with ingle) would be good enough to get away from morales, and counter punch him. I don't think naz would be able to KO prime Morales but i think he would be good enough to get a close decision. :bbb
i'd say it was the other way round. when barrera was brawling his way in and not giving morales space on the inside, thats where he was winning the 1st fight. in the second fight, he came out boxing in the first half and got soundly outboxed by morales who was a great range boxer.
Morales had never been knocked down amatuer or pro until the pac fights. He had a great chin back at 122 and I dont see Hamed stopping him. Maybe he gets dropped but I see him getting back up and fighting on. Keep in mind that Naz has been dropped multiple times so if they did exchange (which they will knowing morales) the question is would Naz be able to take morales' best shots? No doubt Morales could catch him plus he is off balance so much I could see Morales scoring a few knockdowns himself. Id pick Morales by TKO. His chin is solid enough that one shot even Hameds best shot isnt going to put him away. He will get back up and Hamed will come after him swinging wildly and Morales can counter him when he is off balance.
Too much Morales for Naz. IMO, Morales steamrolls over The Prince. Something like the Zaragoza fight...except uglier. (Styles, not facial)
Foreman KOed Frazier with ease x2 while Ali was 2-1 with only 1 late round TKO. Surely that means Foreman would destroy Ali right? Hamed just has more power, hes a KO puncher... They get earlier stoppages. Trinidad KOed Joppy while Hopkins took him to the distance. What happened with Trinidad-Hopkins? The better boxer won. If Morales struggled with any of those guys maybe you could make a point, but he didnt. He got his wins by outboxing and winning rounds. Hamed blew them out early so what. And no morales-barrera wasnt 0-3:rofl showing your bias there. It is offically 1-2 and unofficially 1-2 as well with the first and second fights swapped.
Morales mid to late rounds stoppage. Why? He was the better technical fighter, he fought the better opposition, he had the height and reach advantages, plus he hit harder according to Wayne McCullough. He was a couple of levels above Naz.
yeh, i take your point. In the second fight when barrera was boxing for the first half he gave morales too much room and allowed him to let his hands go, in the third barrera boxed him from the right distance, barrera could let his hands go with the hook and the uppercut but morales never had the space to let his go. :good
c'mon prime for prime morales takes this one, he had that awesome granite chin in his prime. He would outbox hamed to a close UD in a 12 round war
