So then we can expect the same performance against Margarito at a weight PacMan has never fought at? If PacMan carries his stamina and power to this new weight class, I will have to say that he is a freak of nature.

Yo...What up Stranger? Are you ready for your Knicks? Although the 3 team deal for Melo to the Nets is "OFF". Rumor on "Hoopshype.com" is that the Knicks are trying to land Melo in a 4 team deal with Portland, Memphis and Philly. Or the other option is going after Gilbert Arenas in a straight 2 team deal, trade Toney Douglass, Wilson Chandler and 3 Picks (the two picks next season and a 2nd round in 2012) for Gilbert Arenas. Are you feeling that?

    I disagree.

I think Morales's 'timing' was affected by Pac's better movement.

I think Morales's endurance was affected by Pac's punishing bodywork and high speed and intensity.

And a factor which is often overlooked:

Morales outweighed Pacquiao in the 1st fight, and he looked the bigger, stronger man in Pac's first fight at 130.

In the rematch, Pac outweighed Morales, and he looked the stronger, more powerful fighter.

However, it is undeniable that Pacquiao was a more potent physical force in the second fight, and it is similarly undeniable that Pacquiao fought a smarter fight in the rematch, using more variation, better movement and better tactics.

These things (regarding Pac's performance in the rematch) are undeniable, whether you think Morales had gone from the best win of his career to shot-to-**** within a year, or not.

When that fight was announced I really questioned the decision b/c at that time I was a fan of Raheem. Up and coming fighter with solid skills and ability who had a very good AM background. I still picked EM based on his accomplishments and experience but I knew it wasn't gonna be easy for Erik. Styles make fights and I do believe Erik OVER LOOKED Raheem knowing the HUGE payday that awaited him in the PAC rematch. That was Raheems ONLY big win unfortunately. He never lived up to his potential expcet for that one night. And that really ain't a bad thing.....how many folks can say they beat a prime Erik Morales?

its not the same against a guy like Morales than against a guy like Margarito. Morales is 10 times the fighter than Margarito could ever dream to be.

I had Barrera winning the decision in his press conference brawl with Morales ahead of the rematch. Barrera landed his, Morales didn't.

Thats what i miss about Morales. He just wanted to fight. He didnt ***** about the weight either even though he was being seriously drained at that time.

Nowadays most fight are leveraged so much towards the more famous fighter that its so much harder to beat them.

Pacquiao did perform better, thats true.... but Morales performed worse also.

No way the Pac from the 2nd fight stops the Morales from the 1st fight, it would be a razor thin verdict either way, very controversial 50/50 fight with no superiority shown.

The majority of posters had Morales beating Barrera in that 2nd fight, I gave Morales 8 rds... but we know a big money trilogy is unlikely when 1 man is 2-0 up dont we ? ;)

    The usual corrupt bull****.

    Indeed.

I had Marco Antonio Barrera winning by the slimmest of margins, but I wouldn't have argued with a draw or a Morales victory.
