Erislandy Lara has a impressive resume and shows he's willing to fight anybody.

Lara has fought Paul Williams, Carlos Molina, Vanes Martirosyan, Austin Trout, Grady Brewer, Alfredo Angulo and Danny Perez. Lets also not forget Lara schooled Darnell Boone in his 7th professional fight who then went on to KO Stevenson and lose a close SD against Kovalev.

I find it crazy that Lara faced Boone in only his 7th pro fight getting a UD over Boone with getting Knocked out or Knocked down like Ward, Kovalev and Stevenson. Boxing needs more fighters like Lara who aren't afraid to be great and take on tough challenges along with fighting the best.

he has a good resume but he basically has to fight all those guys because its the only way he will get money. Its not like he's in a position to turn fights down or pick who is best for him

  4. He also has a ****ing glass jaw!

This . . . sadly, he like other cubans have not taken the time to hone their marketing skills as much as their fighting skills. None of them will make hug money because they do not have a fan base and cannot attract anyone with a name. Its sad really . . . but these guys dont fight for free.

Like I said in another thread: According to Molina, they approached Lara for a rematch on the Canelo undercard, but he turned down the shot at vindication and the IBF title, preferring to sit at ringside as a spectator. Lara is just chasing money like every other boxer, but he also has to realize that he doesn't bring any money to the table himself.

Because most people feel he lost that fight.

It's all about making money so Lara probably made the right call facing Ishe. I just can't help but feel beating Molina on Canelo's undercard for a title wouldn't have helped his chances of landing an Alvarez shot three fold, though....

Yup. Lara's weakness is pressure fighters but he can box anyone's ears off. I also think Lara beats Canelo because it would end up being a boxing match.

Williams was a volume puncher, and didnt have great boxing skills. Trout is a good boxer. However, Molina outboxed Lara and I thought Vanes boxed him on even terms. Lara is a good fighter, but he can be outboxed and out fought.

Molina did a lot of his usual clinching which spoils the fight. And he wasn't impressive against Vanes. But I'm talking about guys just willing to box him straight up from the outside. In those cases, Lara can look great. But I'm sort of with you. I lost a lot of respect for Lara after the Angulo fight. Lara should've toyed with a slow guy like Angulo, not go life and death.

If Lara is willing to fight anyone, he might as well fight Kirkland.
