Come on, how can you not root for this guy. he's a hard luck fighter with those questionable decisions against williams and martirosyan, not to mention that he's more than proven himself at JMW. Now he's openly challenging the middleweight knockout king? I've always liked erislandy lara but after this move he's vaulted to one of my favorite fighters in the sport today. there's also no question that he's avoided. he literally broke angulo's face, outclassed austin trout and angulo is now fighting canelo (a fight I actually give him a chance of winning). I know that boxing is a business but in a purely competitive sense he deserves a fight with canelo, and challenging golovkin like this? the man deserves his props.

    I am a fan.

But don't forget how poor he looked against Molina and Vanes.

He was also taking a lot of punishment against a limited fighter in Angulo.

I don't think he is the truth but he is talented with a big heart and a desire to be great.

If he worked on his conditioning, he seems to get quite tired in fights, he would go up another level.

Lara looked great agsinat vanes and probably would have stopped him late on, molina was someone he underestimated but all molina does is clinch and spoil and exploit the sport, in a rematch molina doesn't win a round!

I don't know how you can say he looked great when he got outboxed for the first 3 rounds.

Him calling out GGG is BS when he knows the networks wont allow it

If it did happen - and GGG were to crush him - would you haters give GG any respect?

ggg beats the bs out of him for trying to get his name out there by using ggg

get real guys, no matter what lara (pretends to want) he knows damn well his handlers wouldnt EVER entertain the JOKE of feeding lara to ggg. they dont belong on the same building AND lara knows the fight could not be made

he steps in with ggg and the ends his payday with nelo. sh!t nelo is gonna KO too but not as quickly and career changing as ggg. they both ko him and take any confidence he was fed by "fans" after getting trashed by angulo.

angulo was proving to be the better man ( i know i know thats all we need to know)
he lost to some no name russian, i think russian
and he barely escaped molina with a phukin draw. phukin MOLINA, talk about being exposed as a weak ass 154 lber well that fight proved it.

what are you guys going to say when nelo tears him at the end of the year ? cant go back and say he was always a hypejob because the ONLY hype he has ever gotten is from clowns on here.

wake me up when he has a real performance, and NOT trout. he was comin off a LOSS and his inexperience in being the aggressor is why he was so bad that night.

everyone shows their true colors and he will be proved for the umpeeeeth time by next year

carlos molina is the most boring fighter in boxing and a totally negative spoiler. no one looks good against him because all he does is hold and throw the occasional weak blow, and I thought lara won the fight against martirosyan. that being said, I never said lara would beat GGG. because of the fact that lara was hit repeatedly against angulo and GGG may be a little bit bigger than lara, I lean toward GGG, but the fact that Lara is putting it out there is what is deserving of respect. in a day in age where fighters constantly duck meaningful challengers, it's refreshing to hear a top jmw calling out a guy a weight class above him who happens to also be a rising star with scary power.

Lara has a good resume at Jr. Middle and I think he is a decent fighter. I really just want him to get back in the ring. If Molina beats Charlo, then that is a must re-match for Lara.

Andrade is the fight I wanna see him in next.

me too. knowing andrade's promoters they won't rush for a lara clash, but eventually that fight should be made. i'd love to see it, and luckily it's possible considering demetrius' promoters are not initialed GB or TR

Lara is the real 154 lbs champion, Mundine called him out, so he needs to fight Mundine first (I believe it was a 7 digit offer)

If it was 7 digit offer Lara would accept it straight away, and school him.
