Comparing prospects to Gamboa is ridiculous. As if every prospect is supposed to perform at that level and progress that fast

I had always believed that of ALL the "So Called" Cuban Prospects...Erislandy Lara and Yudel Johnson were the WEAKEST!!!!

Some of you guys are still failing to give Lara credit where credit is due. He fought the right kind of fight to deal with the opponent who was in front of him. He did not get overly aggressive because Brewer would have knocked him out if he tried that. He did not allow Grady to pot shot him into oblivion. He did not allow Brewer to bully, spoil, fiddle, and frustrate. Lara stayed calm, kept his composure, and stuck to fighting his fight. A kid who can do that in his 10th pro-fight, with a known spoiler in front of him, ought to get credit for it.

Lara is doing just fine. He'd school Angulo at this point already.

Don't let your passion prevent you from seeing reality the way it's. Lara has to make adjustments and improvements. No doubt about it, otherwise we'll see it later. Good luck.

you're quite right...he needs to put more combos on the attack. His left hand is being used with no use at all, with no power and just to tell his opponent that the right hand is coming just behind.

Grady Brewer's record against undefeated prospects stands at 5-3. The 3 undefeated prospects who beat Brewer were Kelly Pavlik, Jermain Taylor, and Erislandry Lara. Brewer took the Pavlik and Taylor fights on short notice at 160. Lara fought an in-shape Brewer at Grady's best weight of 154. I'm not yet totally sold on Lara, but people need to know what the **** they are talking about BEFORE they start typing!
