Is anyone else excited about this? I'm looking forward to seeing how Lara adapts to the pro's and what kind of potential he has. I've seen him fight in amateur's and he's a very talented, slick southpaw who could potentially be another Casamayor. The good news is he's only 24 years old, which means he'll have plenty of time to develop and not have to be rushed.

He'll be on the Arena card in Ankara, I hope they televise his fight.:yep

Never heard of him to be totally honest.

Just a quick question, but which part of Aus are you from? I asked you in another thread, but i lost track of the actual thread to see if you answered or not... Its unusual for anyone in Australia to have your level of international boxing knowledge.

Are you involved in the sport in anyway?

I currently live in Brisbane, but am moving to Toowoomba in a couple of months. Yeh, it's rare for people in Aus to follow boxing the way I do, none of my friends are big fans (allthough I have attempted to convert them). I'm not involved in the sport in anyway, I'm just a fan who discovered the sport about 5 years ago and fell in love with it. Honestly I have never met a person who follows boxing any where near as much as I do, just casual fans who watch Mundine fights.

Thats interesting mate, i'm in Brisbane as well.

You know a lot about the sport for someone who has only been following it for 5 years:good

Very excited, Lara was seen as an even better prospect than Gamboa.

    seen by whom????

I have never heard anything like that! 'Gamboa won gold in a very impressive fashion. Lara wasnt the name which came up in discussions about the best present Cuban fighters 2-3 years ago.
    Anyway!

I am looking forward to Lara's pro debut! A pity that Rigondeuax didnt manage to escape from Cuba together with Lara!!!!!!
