    The victor is mandated to immediately schedule a defense against Michael Zerafa.

    Not gonna lie...I don't really care for this fight, nor either of the subsequent fights that it could yield down either fork in the road. Absolutely nobody on the planet considered Lara the actual MW champion, and if he somehow bobbles the belt into the mitts of the natural light welter Philly boricua - in his freaking 160lb debut, no less - it only further devalues the already in-the-mud WBA title. Sorry, excuse me, this one particular version thereof. :rolleyes:


    And actually I don't dislike Zerafa, but the idea of the ol' Chippendale versus either of these guys doesn't even get me half-mast.

    I'm oddly intrigued by this fight. Interesting clash of styles and both guys have a wealth of experience vs top notch competition

    I'm rooting for Danny but expect Lara to pick him apart with that left

    I think Lara has been elevated since GGG dropped the belt so this will be for the super WBA belt. That said Lara is a flat footed fighter at this point in his career. One thing Danny has always done was feast on flat footed fighters.

    Pretty much how I feel about it all.
    But I myself have no idea as to who is going to win. Both have looked to be in form in recent fights, but:
    Danny is 35, has never fought at 160 and has been inactive.
    Lara on the other hand is 40! But he too has been relatively inactive and his level of competition has been subpar.

    Lara by UD if you put a gun to my head.
    What an odd fight.

    It has always been my belief that such fights ought to NEVER be sanctioned for world titles. If you're not letting both participants weigh up to a division's limit, then its belt doesn't get to be on the line.

    Wide UD for lara in a very boring fight. Danny isn't even relevant in this weight class. The only thing danny ever really had going for him was his size and strength for his weight class, with that gone he is painfully average in every category.
