Erislandy Lara vs Danny Garcia

    It would be at 160. I'm not sure that DSG would get beat handily. He might be able to beat Lara. He looked really good in his last fight. Lara is not a big puncher so I think he would have a legit chance to win, which is crazy to think about. Lets put it this way, out of all the 160-lb champs, it's probably the best matchup, safest opponent for Danny if he wants to win a belt at MW.

    He looked good against a guy without any major wins. I'm happy it was at 154, but another jump in weight this quickly isn't the best for him IMO. Not a terrible fight though.

    Even though I give the edge to Lara, he's looked very beatable over the last 3 or 4 years. Although I don't think Danny has the killer instinct to apply the kind of intelligent pressure needed to give Lara issues. So I lean Lara by decision.

    Agreed, I thought he looked small at 154. He had better navigate the waters carefully at that weight or he could find a calamity.

    yeah, just a little small. He has the skill to make up some difference in size, but that only helps to an extent.
