Lara on points. Tiger would be bumbling after him all night long. Canelo, who is much faster than Tiger, had hassles dealing with Lara's annoying potshots and marathon running. Tiger needs a guy to engage with him.
Tiger was nigh-on impossible to beat if you were willing to exchange with him. Lara, in all his classy Cuban slickness, would not exchange with Tiger. Lara gets up on his toes, walks Tiger into a straight left hand, and gets back to moving. Rinse and repeat for 12 rounds with Tiger having various pockets of success. Tiger also had a weird mentality of assuming that he was winning just because he was the aggressor iirc, which sort of compounded his issues with movers.
Man I love Dick Tiger but I don't see him beating Lara. Lara has the misfortune of being born in the wrong era. He would have been talked about in a much different light had he been a Middleweight in the 60's. I hate these type of mythical matchups. My heart says Tiger but my head says Lara by decision.
Yeah but lara was too negative against canelo thats why he lost the fight. I can honestly see the same thing happening versus tiger. Some judges hate that style of boxing and will give victory to the guy who actually initiates the fight. I would still pick tiger in a boring SD.
Kinda how I feel and I have a lot of sympathy for the guy that tries to make the fight. I'd rather watch Tiger than Lara any day.
