Lara need to stay more active, but i wouldn't say he's unproven. I think the only thing that he need to fix is his defense when he's fighting in the pocket. Other than that, he's not easy to hit on the outside and very consistent at setting up the straight left hand.

It would be a very close competitive bout, but I'd go with Lara to win by split decision. It would be a chess match with both guys looking and feinting to setting up their straight lefts. Sergio is more flashy and athletic, but Lara is more technically-sound.

great use of it in his last fight. It alternated between the head and body.

As those Showtime commentators pointed out, Lara just need a personality. If he can sign with a promoter who can promote him as the "kryptonite" to guys like Floyd, Manny, Sergio, ect, he'd be given more opportunities to showcasing his talent and making a name for himself.

His guard on the inside isn't ideal imo. It leaves him open for left hooks to the body. That shot gets him every time. He'll need to learn how to defend against left hooks to the body better if he wants to go beat up Mexican superstars.

I don't know who will win but you by bringing Molina's fight don't know $h1t about boxing, first, Lara didn't train properly for that fight, shields was with Rigondeaux in Ireland, second, he got a tooth infection 3 days before the fight and almost got cancel, I'll bet you real money that when Lara-Molina fight again Lara will win an easy DEC or will KO Molina, one fight doesn't say everything about a fighter unless is a quitting job and not even, Duran quit against Leonard and he is a HOF, Chavez quit against DLH and he still Chavez, now we have Ortiz and you know the kid has some mental lapses.

First there's no Mexican superstar in his division, second he only does that when he knows his opponent can't hurt him, he is very smart fighter and he could give Floyd some problems.

 Styles make fights. No matter how great you are, there is always that one boxer who would give you a very tough gritty fight. Maybe Molina is that guy to Lara, like Frazier was that guy to Ali, Like Marquez is to Manny, and Castillo was to Floyd, ect. Floyd would have to figure out a way to fight him in the pocket because Lara would have the leverage to hold his own on the outside and take advantage of Floyd's minor mistakes.

He consistently ate left hooks to the body from Molina and kind of gassed towards the end.

Lol what u dudes don't understand is, with Floyd it's not about his boxing ability. It's about his defense and condition. Floyd can stand right in front of Lara all fight and not get hit. And not get tired. That is the key. Scrapen him with rights to the head and body. Lara is a southpaw and he will eat those two punches regardless. Floyd will press him on on the left hand side, and counter with bodyshots and break him down. Floyd is to quick. Do u really think Lara can survive in a game of hesitation/pot shots with Floyd? Lol the question is how is Lara going to hit Lara floyd? He can't. And. You fools saying Lara would beat Floyd inside are crazy. Nobodies ever done it. Lara has not fought good enough opposition to warrant the praise gets. His best traits have been leaky against all these cab drivers. He fights.
