How do you see the Cuban technician vs a LHW Middleweight champion?

I hate to use the size argument but i think chavez is too big and brings too much pressure

i mean maybe Lara can flat out catch him or out maneuver him

but I think Lara has stamina issues and his low out put can allow him to be out worked

also if a guy like Molina could bully him and push him to the brink i think Chavez jr can do it

I like both guys but Lara has to prove himself

he looked awful vs Molina but great vs Williams, the Hearns fight tells us nothing we didnt already know

Tough fight. Hard to gauge Lara's stamina issues with this last fight, but Jr might outwork him to a decision.

Lara is more crafty and skilled by far, but I don't know. Chavez Jr is so damn big and heavy. Could be a competitive fight going down the stretch.

It doesnt matter, Bob Arum pays off the judges.

I think Lara would be too fast and just out work Chavez but usual robbery bullcrap happens

    Arum must die

Agree. . . Hearns fight showed he does have power - but it's more a product of his timing, and accuracy. .

But that Molina fight... Maann, he looked completely average. . .

And Jr. pressures you a lot better than Williams does, and hits a lot harder, AND is a lot physically stronger, in that he can body you around. . .

Go ahead and add the other dynamic that Chavez will definitely have home-field advantage, and thus benefit of judges. . .

ALl this leads me to believe Chavez will win a decision, that may or may not be controversial. . I feel more than likely he'll get a legit win, though. . . Lara won't keep enough of a work rate. . .

If Lara had RJJ type speed, then I can see him getting Arumed, that is, losing by a SD.

However, his speed is not really that great, its his timing, punch placement, accuracy and technique that makes him dangerous. If he can catch JCC Jr perfectly, well, who knows but JCC won't find him too hard to put on the ropes.

I don't know that Lara is big and strong enough to keep Chavez Jr off him. I think Jr presses him to a decision win.

Lara is under Golden Boy and Jr. is a Top Rank fighter so we'll never get this match-up but, if it were to go down...

Lara is way more skilled and faster than the larger Jr. but the pressure that Jr. brings could really pose a problem in the late rounds. If Lara is brings his A game I can see him pulling out a UD. Lara will have to land some meaningfull shots early to get Chavez Jr. Respect and get him second guessing his attacks.

What make you think that Jr has an iron chin? I haven't c him fight a real power puncher so the verdict is in the air, don't bring Rubio, he has some power but he gets his ko's by accumulation than one punch

Its simply giving fighters the benefit of the doubt. Chavez has been in how many pro fights now? He's never been shaken or put on ***** street or touched the canvas, so how about you just give him the benefit of the doubt?

I know its hard for you to do because he's Mexican and you have a chip on your shoulder because you're Cuban, but get some perspective.
