Cotto UD, Lara is not the type of guy to give Cotto problems, although in the future that could definitely change.
He made Cintron of all people look like a master boxer, Angulo has power, but he is slow as hell and lacks elite skill.
Cotto takes it to me.. BUT.. I don't think Canelo is as predictable as you say. First of all he is 20 yet has so many weapons when it comes to his offensive arsenal. He can bang.... has heart... can stick and move... can roll with punches.. can survive onslaughts (Cotto fight).. and can hold. I mean, he might not be able to survive pressure... he is young and when flustered seems out of his game.. but I can see him improving and taking complete control of this division.. only time will tell... but for right now this very second.. he loses to Miguel Cotto, Angulo, Dzindiruk, Lara, n Wolak
Man Cotto would destroy and maul that guy especially in the later round were Lara will gass out and start running like a *****. Plus the body work from Cotto would end Lara's night early. Lara is over rated.
I think cotto will fight margarito, if he loses he retires, what else is left? it would crush him mentally. If he beats margarito then he will fight vs chavez/martinez winner which might also be in december. allthough it could be that martinez gets excluded and its just chavez vs cotto
Cintron will get destroyed by anyone right now, Angulo is a slow puncher that will catch everything with his face, any boxer with skill and a decent set of wiskers will out box el perro.
Other way around buddy. Cotto is a bullier, a boxer-puncher who uses stalking pressure and a sustained body attack behind a thumping jab. Lara is a boxer-puncher who uses lateral-movement and can counter off the back-foot. It will come down to who can get the better of this dynamic better, and I would rather put my money on Miguel advancing with more success than I would on Lara retreating without eating more than he gives.
I think that Lara is the type of fighter that will give problems to anyone at 154, he is just learning the ABC's of the pro game and look how good he has done, ppl were saying that when he face Brewer in his 9th fight that he would get exposed, against Molina he train for one week, and again that was his fault but a learning experience, and still managed to land the better punches and have Molina in real trouble in the ninth round, IMO that fight make him better and that's what we all witnessed last Saturday against PW (he was complaining that he couldn't catch his second wind) , a better prepared will take Molina to school and if he throws more combos could stop the King, against Cotto I hope he can put everything together he has the tools to do it, but I'll not bet against the rican.
Tough to call. Lara looked sharp against Williams, great footwork as well. Cotto has been through some wars and is at the end of his career but has vast expirience. I have the highest respect for the Boricua but I have to give the edge to the Cubano.
**** you... I love me some Gamboa dude is a ****ing beast, but Lara is ****. The Cubans David Lemiuex...
