    Williams is from my hometown and as such it would be nice to see him win but we all know that once they crack they don't come back, and I have a feeling that Lara is going to redeem himself of that awful showing against Molina by devastating Williams' abysmal, disgraceful glass jaw.

    I agree with your post. Lara is definitely a great boxer-puncher. There were rumors that the reason that he looked bad against Molina is that he hardly trained because his Coach Ronnie Shields was in ireland coaching Rigondeaux at that same time and Lara only trained for about 1 week. That was not the usual Lara that we have been seeing since his pro debut, but Molina is a very good boxer indeed and he also deserves credit. Lara has been training for more than two months now with Shields and he is ready for war. I see Lara stopping Williams hard on his tracks in mid to late rounds! :good

    Two months should be enough. Many fans don't understand that the Cubans can beat anyone even at an early stage in their pro careers. The reason is that these kids come from the best boxing school in the World and are used to fighting the best at the amateur Tournaments. I can understand that the pros are a bit different but is just a matter of adaptation and upgrading their skills. There have been many Cuban defectors that have beaten World Champs and ex-World Champs very early in their pro career. Guillermo Rigondeaux beat Ricardo Cordoba at just 7-0, and others have done it too!

    Lara can beat this guy, all he needs to do is keep his hands up and let his hands go. His straight left is deadly and also his uppercut. The only thing that Williams has going for him is his height and reach, that's it. ;)

    Actually, he throws those physical gifts down the drain in every fight by refusing to fight tall and opting to trade on the inside, which got him hilariously felled last time out. No, really his advantage is the massive amount of punches he can throw without tiring. If he avoids leaning that porcelain puss in too many times and actually uses some footwork and a jab he could Calzaghe his way to a decision, rather easily.

    I like Williams but I would have liked to see him take another fight before this one.... Not sure where he's at after that loss and I've been told my only live impression of Lara wasn't a good representation of him. (as shown by other fight clips)... I wanna say Williams out works him but something in the back of my head says he didn't do himself any favors taking this fight..

    This is a very hard fight to predict and you just can't go with your homeboy, I'll say that it depends which Lara shows up, the letargic one or the "I'm going to knock you out" one, PW will do what he always do, throw punches in bunches.

    Lara isn't stopping Williams! no chance. He could possibly outwork him, but I think Paul lands the cleaner blows to rack up a fairly conformable UD

    I think Lara boxes well enough to win some rounds competitively and make it to the bell, but I think Paul's height and aggression will be too much to neutralize for Lara's current style.

    I wouldn't be surprised at a stoppage OR a Lara victory, really. It all depends on how Lara approaches the fight, because from the way Paul expressed himself after Martinez losing, I think we can depend on him coming in and fighting as his usual recent self.
