Erislandy Lara Vs. Saul Alvarez??

Tough. I prefer Lara if he can handle some power, but its close.

 

Lara is well closer to his prime and a full-blown light-middleweight which Canelo is not, so I'd take Erislandy for now. Canelo is returning to 147 anyway, so this is a match-up for the future.

Lara in his prime, Alvarez in about 2-3 yrs. At this point, probably Lara by clear decision or late TKO. In 2-3 years if Canelo becomes better defensively and works on his speed it would be a pickem. That's also if the fight was at 154.

Where else would it be at? Lara is a natural 154 pounder, and Alvarez will one day grown into a 154 pounder.

 

Oh ok my bad. I thought I heard somewhere Lara might of been moving up to 160, but I heard wrong. Most of Canelo's fights have been at 147 and he's still young, so I think the next couple of years he should be fighting at 147, which is what he said after the Baldomir fight. Whichever weight they fight, Lara is a level above him, so I'd pick him to win. For now.
