    Damn what an enormous mismatch.

Lara is a beast though. I can't wait to see him step it up.

Well, Lara showed his great Cuban skills as Correa did'nt stand a chance. One frustating thing, the PR commentator was talking bad about Cuban boxers in saying that they have only produced Casamayor and Hurtado in the pros. He forgot JC Gomez and his statement was very degrading. He was saying basically that Puerto Rico has produced around 50 World Champs and Cuba way less as this is a fact but he did'nt mention the reason why. Cuba has been out of professional boxing since 1959, with only a selected few escaping the Communist regimen. I have no doubt that if Cuba would had kept competing in the pros since 1959, the Cubans would have way more Champs than Puerto Rico today. Not taking away credit from the PR fighters, just stating what Cuba would had accomplished in the pros if Castro would have never banned pro sports in Cuba!

Lara showed great speed and power but still needs to develop more combos ( like Gamboa ) and develop a better arsenal. He is missing side hooks, 4 or 5 punch combos and more uppercuts. He relies too much on his straight left hand which is very effective when it lands but his opponents are getting to know that already and simply dodge it. Lara will definitely be World Champion one day, but he will never be as dominant as Yuriorkis Gamboa! Good win for Lara...

What do think about Lara vs Cintron? Is this to much of a step up in competition? or is Lara ready for a heavy puncher like Kermit?

Dímelo mi hermano! I finally decided to come back and post some on ESB again to see what's going on. Ya veo que nada a cambiado. Lara will " dominate Cintron from start to finish "...

    Saludos!

Lara is used to strong punchers ( back in Cuba ) so this is nothing new to him. Cintron is not a step up for Lara, Lara is a step up for Cintron. Lara has 300+ amateur bouts and is World Amateur Champion, Cintron? :huh

He fought Grady Brewer the fight before that, and took the fight on 5 days' notice. What the hell do you expect?

Lara's probably ready for someone like Cintron, but not in a 12 rounder. I'd say one more fight, a 12 rounder, against someone relatively sturdy who can put up a fight. Someone like Alex Bunema would be ideal.

Asi es Compay, pero en Cuba el usaba "headgear" contra esos strong punchers verda? Porque el solo era Amateur en la isla, sinembargo un Amatuer bien dominante.

Cintron can put some serious combos together with power, and it would be interesting to see how Lara will deal with that.

I just really can't wait to see him against top opposition.
