I wanted Vanes and Trout to stop getting passed around the rest of the top guys, but not like this!

Lara is a price fighter do you understand fights for money stay busy fight is good for him, the only fighter barking on GGG is him.

I like it. Yuri is a smart fighter and wouldn't take the fight unless he seriously thought he could win it. Lara obviously is the heavy heavy fave, but I like the mystery Yuri brings here by taking this fight.

Those guys did have something that Lara doesn't have...the desire to actually fight GGG instead of just talking about it.
It's easier to say "GGG! GGG!" and then fight Yuri Foreman:qmeparto:

This fight blows. I guess activity is better for Lara than nothing from his point of view though.

In the last 2 years he's had 3 fights and two of those fights have been Rodriguez and Zaveck. If he's adding Foreman to that mix that's a weak stretch of fights for an elite level fighter.

Even if he does take this fight to stay busy and turn around quick with an early fight next year there's still no need to make a fight with Foreman. He is one of the most tv unfriendly fighters out there.

1 Lara needs to fight a top fighter 2 If he's simply staying busy until something bigger don't punish boxing fans by facing Yuri Foreman.

In a dead division. There are no stars at 154lb with the exception of Cotto, and that fight is not happening.

What is Lara's best win? Trout? Why people consider him an elite fighter is beyond me!

What a **** fight this is.

This is a man people, me included, wanna see against Golovkin .

If Golovkin fought Foreman he would be ridiculed. Lara is rightly being ridiculed also.

He beat Trout pretty dominantly and clearly beat Paul Williams despite the horrible scorecards. Martiroysan, Smith, Angulo, and Brewer were decent wins as well. Lost a fight with Alvarez that could have gone either way.

Virtually everyone has him the number 2 guy at 154 and his skill inside the ring is obvious. There's thousands of pro boxers and most would list Lara as one of the 20-25 best, that seems elite level to me. I'm no huge fan of Lara but his talent is clear.

    154 DIVISION IS TRASH
CHARLO WONT FIGHT THE BROTHER AND LARA WONT FIGHT EITHER CAUSE OF RONNIE SHIELDS/BUNCH OF EXCUSES

comments like this show the idiocy of the casual fan, when you combine his amateur and pro record lara has easily one of the best records in boxing, dominant win over paul williams, outboxed and beat canelo also, schooled trout, koed angulo, beat vanes a top 154 lb'er

to put it into perspective roman gonzalez last 11 opponents have an average of 9 losses each, in reality he lost a close fight to caudras and maybe even to estrada, casual fans claim his wins are some of the best, something like what you would do!

a few fights ago i think he fought a guy with over 30 losses,
his best wins are vs journeymen type fighters like sosa 9 losses, yaegasha 8 losses i think

but the casual fan today will claim he has the best wins! it's laughable
