Erislandy Lara vs Yuri Foreman possible for 16 of december

He's spent too much of his time on twitter calling out GGG when he should have been putting himself in a position to demand a shot at a belt. He could have easily done so by now if he's so good and 160 is so poor. But nope, he's content to play big dog on the internet.

Lara is an elite fighter but has been padding his record since the Canelo fight, Cotto ruined what was left of what was an average fighter in Yuri.

 

no one else will fight him, good fight and better to stay busy than just wait, can't fight the charlos, julia williams fighting charlo, andrade don't want to fight him

 

Outside of the top 5/6 fighters there's no depth to 154. Yes it's good Lara is keeping busy but there are much better fighters out there than Yuri who's had what 2 fights in 2 or 3 years?

What about a fight at 160 or at least a catch weight fight against a b level 160 type fighter at least this way he pushes his intentions and interest in a possible Jacobs/Golovkin fight?

 

Rosado never fought at middle, brook didn't either! and lara is established as the number 1 at 154 the truth is golovkin know he could lose to lara and get outboxed in the process

 

Golovkin isn't losing to Lara but early rounds Lara would pose some problems, if Angulo's caveman technique has Lara going life and limb we have to agree that Golovkin should have his way with him.

As for the fight the last time I knew Lara's management stated he was staying at 154, so in theory the fight is a mute point.

 

Brook was outboxing golovkin pretty easy though, and golovkin is pretty easy to hit at times, alot of people would pick lara over golovkin and there's a reason abel sanchez doesn't want that fight same with ward because he knows golovkin will lose to them!

 

Lara is a joke. totally killed his career with that Canelo "performance". What a disgusting effort.

Goodluck fighting yuri forman. Just keep it off TV so no further casual fans are lost from the sport due to this lemon.

Tough luck for Lara. At his age, he doesn't need any stay busy fights. He's in a bit of a tough situation; he won't fight anyone trained by Shields so the Charlo boys are out of the equation so that basically leaves him against guys like WIlliams, Ishe Smith, Vanes (again,) or just move up to 160 lbs and test your mettle in that division.
