Erislandy Lara will defeat Canelo Alvarez

Lara will kiss the canvas and get his ass kicked.

 

Lara should take care of business before focusing on Canelo, he has not exactly looked great.

 

Winning, in itself, isn't enough. He needs some hardware to force Canelo's hand. That means that he MUST fight the Smith/Molina winner and win decisively.

 

It's hard to argue with this post because he's hardwired to be patient and wait for openings. He'll need to change that if he wants to create buzz for a Canelo showdown.

I like Lara. He is a gd boxer and sets up gd shots, but he just doesn't hustle. If he had applied more pressure on Williams, he probably would have gotten the knockout instead of the rather questionable decision in favor of Williams. Alvarez will push him out of his comfort zone and probably catch him with something big in the middle rounds

 

The first part of that is why you believe the second to be true - easy work for Canelo

 

Lara would definitely beat Canelo and also Trout.

Lara didn't look too hot against a pressure fighter in vanes.I doubt he gets past canelo.
