    Does he have a good chance of making the olympics next year. Are Cuba gonna be involved ?

    He fought in the worlds in italy a couple or yrs back so who knows. He won Gold in the world champions for youth. There's another guy from cuba Osmay Acosta who won bronce in beijing and silver in the worlds. They have fought a few times i think with Acosta winning twice and losing once.

    It all depends what the people in charge in cuba want to do, they can move savon to 91 plus and leave acosta at 91 or who knows. With a last name like Savon i think he'll get called to participate if they are close in talent.

    Did he get a medal in Italy ? Winning gold has a youth at the worlds is already an achievement and shows he has something. Thanks for pointing him out, i will keep an eye on him. Your right with his name you would have to think he will be selected, we need Cuba in the Olympics.

    He lost in the quarterfinals at the world to the eventual silver medalist.
