Lara has only beaten Paul Williams.....He hasn't fought anyone to prove if he's a good fighter or not.

After seeing a limited guy in Hernandez but just a good heart and solid chin with limited boxing skills in defense having an OKay gameplan minues some skills neeed to employ correctly... I saw him pressure Lara with effectiveness and dig to the body, when Hernandez got mad and showed the Mexican warrior heart, Laras confidence crumbled and was getting caught around the ring a lot to the body and head while he was retreating, to Lara's credit in the next rounds he would adjust which was a good sign... but seeing Hernandez get a good round in with pure heart alone, made me wonder what a beast of canelo would do to laras confidence...

not to mention the power issue showed up again, Lara is not a powerpuncher he has good pop, but thats not his forte, it's his boxing skill that will win his biggest fights not his power, or Molina, Hernandez and Pwill would have been left on the floor, Canelo wins the power game easily by a wide margin..having Lara look ordinary when he was standing in the pocket and running or clinching to stop Hernandez's inside game, his weakness's were shown in that fight, yes he looked spectacular with his great counters and slick moves and defense won't take that away....

limited hernandez did show some of Lara's weakness which is some of Canelo's bread and butter, pressure, body shots, of course Canelo has other skills which werenen't implemented like superior size and power, and the boxing skill he carries in his defense compared to the limited hernandez... Canelo is not a master slick technician so not having the best footwork means he is planted more into the ground to unleash hard counters or hard combos with a lot of force, Canelo is not a pure counter puncher like a mayweather, he is more of an Agressive Stalker that likes to counter so saying canelo has inferior footwork to lara is okay... he don't need the slick feet like a runner, he is about POWER, pressure, body shots and Combos and CLOSING the ring from Runners... he fights going forward so he doesn't need the slick feet like a martinez mayweather or lara to run around the ring and box someone out, he is looking to take u out with each smart blow he lands. He cuts you down little by little..

After watching the hernandez fight I was more intrigued by a potential match with Canelo.. it is gonna be a good one... were lara is gonna land some good counters, but is gonna be taken to hell with smart pressure, boxing skill, hard body work and Canelos power, and Canelos heart... the best of each other will come out that night.... Can't wait.

As much as i cheer for cubans i dont like them beating C level class, i want to see them going down with the best.Its the only reason i want to see Lara-Canelo, Rigo-Nonito,Gamboa-Broner etc

 

Yes and he did look good in there but the power they say he has was missing in that fight, and in all the important fights he's had it's always missing, ESB believes because he knocked out a 160 bum in a couple round he is this crazy punching machine, but far from that he is a very good boxer with good pop, a slick technician... with flaws of his own. He hates the inside for one...

I liked the way he got PWILL with pwill's easiest shot to land on him the counter left.. the one that Martinez put him down with... but see Lara landed probably 1000 lefts on Pwill and never once stunned him, so I always ask where is the power, the left was open all night to not let it go to judges and have the W on your record... THat fight had more to do with Williams recent KO and how it affected him that was not a prime Pwill... he was a damaged fighter at that stage... ko's like that ruin people.. but Pwill is a warrior and came to fight that night.

Maybe Boxing gods paid Lara back for getting gifted a draw Vs Molina who knows, but Molina took that fight by a round or 2.. and Cubans will have me believe that that wasn't 100% lara, had the runs, bad trainer, not himself, not prepared...bla bla bla... excuses are for losers.

 

I was simply stating my opinion, your are welcomed to have yours.. of course my long post is not convince a Cuban that Canelo will **** Lara.. but I know its a competitive fight early on and the fight will be won mid to late....

Also, I Disagree, you said nothing and Canelo would beat on Lara in the mid to late rounds, were Lara will get his best moments early..


I Wish GBP would make the fight, but its business and they have money to make... hopefully LARA stops crying for big fights and becomes a great Champ were GBP is forced to make the fight... Have Lara fight Molina, Vanes, DROD, other Title holders, make him sellable so this ****ing fight gets made already.. because business wise, Lara will never get a title shot unless he is a big name or a champ in his divison... time to work hard he is IN PWILLS shoes now... not much markebility but a promising skillset.

 

Lara is not this crazy punching machine. He is this crazy boxing machine that will knock you out if it comes. You say that wasn't a prime P.Williams, maybe, maybe not. Canelo has never fought a prime fighter. I just really hopes this fight happens. Its going to be a good one. I do talk a little noise. I know that Canelo isn't an easy fight for anyone, but I don't think he has what it takes to beat Lara. Of course you feel different. Just agree to disagree.
