Erislandys Lara ! Jump on the bandwagon

I like how Lara didn't look too excited when he had his opponent hurt. He kept his range well.

 

Lol, just 2 days after I wrote this, Rigondeaux arrived in Miami.

Anyways, Lara will be on the televised undercard of Hatton-Pacquiao this Saturday, he'll face Chris Gray in a 4 rounder. Of course Lara did some sparring with Ricky and in excellent shape.

Someone should clear the following thing up: it wasn't Lara who came to the Floyd Sr. Gym with Roger Mayweather in the last 24/7 show, was it? I mean it would be excellent for Erislandy to train with Roger and have possible sparring sessions with Little Floyd. Tell me it was Lara...

I was thinking the same, the guy looked to have a similar build and size too lara, i think it may have been him

It's a bit to early to proclaim Lara as the future of the sport. But, it's apparent that the guy has a lot of talent, and has the abilty to do a lot of damage in the years to come if he's matched properly so as to develop his potential to its full extant.

 

And what makes you think that after beating you 14-5 he wouldn't crack your jaw way before? atsch

 

Lara fights 11 - 7 Chris Gray on May 2 and 19 - 1 Jessie Nicklow on May 22, nice step up in competition.

 

I'm on board. He is looked very impressive in the few fights he has had. Will be good to see him live on the Hatton-Pacquiao PPV. Well, providing they show the fight.

Lara returns to the ring on ESPN2 Friday Night Fights this week. His opponent will be Willie Lee, who fought guys like Yusaf Mack, Chad Dawson and Sechew Powell, obviously losing to all of them.

 

It's a hell of a prospect card with Lara sharing the billing with Daniel Jacobs and Deontay Wilder. Anyone who can watch that and still say that GBP doesn't have young talent needs to have their head examined. While none of these bouts figure to be competitive, they should be entertaining showcases nevertheless.
