Giacon is jabbing the body, diving in, keeping his chin tucked and working in a short, tight overhand right to the face of Kirillovs. Very nice work. Kirillovs presses in with uncoordinated punches and gets shoved back into zapping range, where Giacon rocks his head back on a rubberneck with jabs. Kirillovs is falling in with a very wide 1-2, with Giacon easily melting down and slipping it with backward ducks before rebounding inside with counters. "Bellisimo, Black Mamba", the commentators keep saying. Hard to blame them. Giacon keeps circling right, slipping Kirillovs' wild straight shots and working the body.

Round 3

Kirillovs is slapping his way in, and Giacon lies in wait, squatting down to fire up right hands. Kirillovs is buzzed and sent reeling to the ropes as Giacon leaps in with crisp straights. Now hooks to the body by Giacon, still laying the power on thick. Kirillovs counters off the ropes, wildly, and then flops into a clinch. Nice right hand by Giacon. Uppercut. Kirillovs has his hands down, backing up. Weak flicks with both hands by Kirillovs, inexplicably standing in the pocket and looking to trade with Giacon. Kirillovs has a cut at the outer corner of his left eye, it seems. Kirillovs is slapping away with both hands and actually hushing Giacon up, although not landing anything cleanly. Body shot by Giacon, and Kirillovs backs out. In again to flop over Giacon. Break. Big combo by Kirillovs, pumping out his left and right several times coming forward but not landing.

Round 4

Kirillovs walks into an uppercut, snapping his head back sharply. Kirillovs then walks into a BIG STRAIGHT RIGHT CROSS, shaking him up. Kirillovs doesn't get the hint and just keeps coming forward. Pause to check the cut. The ref calls for il dottore. The cut is wiped with wet gauze and deemed too bad to continue.

Apparently it was caused by a legal blow.

TKO4 for the Black Mamba. Third to ever stop Kirillovs, out of 27 pro opponents.

 

Yeah, I've certainly seen worse cuts left to fester in ongoing combat. :conf

"Japonaise" (pronounced Jappo-nayzay in Italian) cracks me up.

They keep referring to Aoh as "il Japonaise" rather than by name, discussing Boschiero's recent fight with him.

 

Yeah, he's got a team of conga drummers trailing him..
