Ermano Fegatilli vs. Devis Boschiero II RBR

Something so simple, but even world class fighters (looking at you, B-Hop) can't figure it out.

 

Round 5

Big shots by Boschiero, raining down on Fegatilli. Big powerful rights, loaded up one after another. Boschiero may have punched himself out a bit, deep breath and adjustment of his trunks on the outside. Fegatilli now comes on, pecking in with his jab and landing it at will on the face of Boschiero. Right hand lead by Fegatilli, blocked. Scooping right to the body. High soaring right by Fegatilli sidestepped as Boschiero gets away from the ropes. Uppercut by Fegatilli. body shots. Clinch. Flush jab by Fegatilli. More body shots. Boschiero doesn't have the room or energy to get off with any power. Fegatilli keeps roughing him up on the inside.

10-9 Fegatilli, took the last two minutes.

Round 6

Tackle!! No knockdown. Boschiero sent to a neutral corner before time in. They trade rainbow right hands at close range. Both a bit slower than the outset but committing to their shots. Misses transition into clinches, and McDonnell is there to pry them loose. Right hand by Boschiero, and another over the gloves, grazing. Left rip to the body by Fegatilli, reaching low with it while leaning back but still getting some snap into it. More body shots by Fegatilli. Sweeping right uppercut down low by Boschiero. They collapse together and Fegatilli keeps dropping his elbows and forearms on the back of Boschiero's head. Warned by McDonnell. Several jabs by Fegatilli, up into or falling just shy of the guard of Boschiero, and a right to the body. Another clinch. Ugliest round yet. 1-1-2 by Boschiero, ducked. Same combo from Fegatilli, blocked.

Ordinarily you don't want the third man in the ring to be very prominent in the action, and obviously you've seen me drop his name a lot already, but McDonnell is actually keeping this a lot cleaner than it would be otherwise so it's a rare case of positive frequent interference.

 

Round 7

Big hooking combo by Boschiero, as Fegatilli ducks in front of him and rolls his head around. Fegatilli digs to the body. Combos to the guard by Fegatilli. The only punch really working for Fegatilli is the left hook downstairs, and he's mixing that in but also working up high with shovels and uppercuts and getting blocked. Boschiero ducks past a jab and they clinch briefly. McDonnell in there, pushing apart. Wild left hook and right hand by Fegatilli, pitching forward off balance and getting caught and held. 1-2 by Boschiero, looking arm-weary. Both just going on adrenaline, in slow motion. Cuffing shots inside by Boschiero.

Round 8

Boschiero is drifting left and tossing a teardrop 1-2 in as he presses Fegatilli. Hook connects for Boschiero. Fegatilli is ducking and flopping, throwing jabs up at Boschiero. McDonnell warns them to watch the heads. Boschiero blocks several jabs and rights as Fegatilli leans in to flurry. Fegatilli backs out and then dives with a right hand, getting hooked across the face. Boschiero backs up, creates space, and plugs a right to the body. Clinch. Break. Uppercut jumping in by Boschiero. Body shots, 1-2 to the face! Crowd loving it. Fegatilli stands his ground and fights back.

10-9 Boschiero, clear round.

"You can't let it go the whole distance this way! When he ducks down, when he goes backward, you're letting him go! Unload on him!! Don't let him go!!"

Round 9

Boschiero roams back into a corner as Fegatilli flurries into his gloves. Double jab by Boschiero. Right hand. Fegatilli comes sliding in with an uppercut, blocked. They push together and get broken apart by McDonnell. Big left hooks to the body by Fegatilli, but with his base wide and not as much leverage on them as before. Uppercuts by Fegatilli, missing. Boschiero pops a right hand to get out of a corner. Fegatilli unloads with a big burst of body shots. Whipping hook by Boschiero. Big cluster of body shots by Fegatilli. Uppercuts to the face, left and right, backing Boschiero up. Jab, right hand by Fegatilli. Boschiero kept in a corner. Wrestles his way out. There's McDonnell to stop the wrestling. Body shots by Fegatilli. Boschiero backed up, under fire!!! Clinch. Break.
